As The Details Worsen, ‘Fast and Furious’ Becomes Dem. Party’s Trip To Jonestown

Doug Ross
offers an excellent summary of the whole fandango. I still maintain that, as this scandal is rolled out, either it or the threat of it running its course will be the real reason for Obama to resign.

The Dems, especially Invertebrate Harry in the Senate, have got to see BHO as a liability. The question becomes at what point the cost/benefit analysis is such that it’s easier to eat the impeachment than drink the fatal political kool-aid of hanging on to him. wanted the onion article from our dum century but cannot find online

One likely damage control course of action is to highlight the thuggery of Fast and Furious, and tie that to BHO personally, instead of the Dems as a whole. Or not. Maybe the Progressive cult goes full political suicide pact.
This clip is NSFW, but captures the idiocy of both the Dems and, later, Ben Bernanke rather well:

Are you sure there are still enough people in America who care enough about right and wrong to see this thing through to a meaningful conclusion? And keep in mind, the media won’t endlessly beat the drum like it did for Watergate; no Rs to bring down here.

He won’t resign and won’t be impeached, Smitty.  The Watergate comparison doesn’t work because the MSM hated Richard Nixon and went out of their way to fan the flames of that scandal.  With Fast & Furious the MSM will tamp down the flames and softsoap/ignore the story to protect Obama from harm.   My prediction: Holder will take the fall and will be thrown under the bus, to join all the other FOO (Friends Of Obama).

The wheels of the bus go round n …thump thump…round. There’s more people under the bus than are in it.

I’d  really like to think that this travesty would be Obama’s Delilah, but the MSM would agree with Obama’s reasoning behind it…stealth gun control, and keep the lid on. If you recall, several months ago, Obama told Sarah Brady that they were working on gun control, but had to try and keep it under the radar.

Barak Hussein Obama should be impeached in the House, tried in the Senate, and if found guilty he should be hanged by the neck until dead from the tallest tree in Washington. If this son-of-a-bitch were proven beyond any shadow of a doubt to be not only directly involved in this fiasco, but also proven to be a traitor, murderer, terrorism enabler, and organized crime affiliate, the Democrats and all leftists in general would still scream “the GOP is lynching the first black President”. I honestly believe they are so far gone they think such a charge would actually turn the tide, no matter what was proven about this piece of human filth. That’s why I don’t give a shit about trying to prove I’m “above sinking to their tactics”. God damn how low do you have to sink to be BELOW these political sewer rats and their supporters? I don’t think its even possible.

[…] Smitty at TOM has connected the dots as well and very well thinks this fiasco will be Obama’s downfall. I dunno Smitty, there’s still plenty of room under that bus. They have not near reached bottom yet. They will sink below it and astonish you in their incredibility.

Robert you are right.  Smitty, I am not saying it isn’t justified, but with the Dems controlling the Senate it is not going to happen.  It would not happen with even the GOP controlling House and Senate (maybe if there were more conservatives there but that has to happen first).

Fast and Furious needs to be explained.  So it is a factor in Barack Obama not being re-elected.

I agree, Robert.  F&F would have brought down a Republican President already.  But, thanks to the sycophants in the MSM, Obama will get a pass.

The Senate Majority Leader can’t table a Senate trial on a procedural maneuver if there’s a vote to impeach in the House. They would have to have the trial, and then go on the record with their votes to convict or not convict. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presides over the trial. Harry Reid would just be one among 100 Senators. It takes a 2/3 vote to convict. If the case presented was compelling enough, and the evidence was unassailable, he might well be convicted. I know its a long shot, but at the very least it would be enough of an embarrassment to him he might actually resign to keep from having to go through with it. It would tarnish him from now on and destroy his presidency, whatever might be left of it.  It would make it next to impossible for him to get anything else done. But they case should be a damn good case or it might backfire too.

Obama isn’t going to resign merely to save the Social Democratic party, after all how will Hope and Change be saved in an awesomeness vacuum. The left in general, the Democratic party and Winston Smith Media in paticular are not going to get in a tizzy merely because this administration broke a few laws in search of one of their Holy Grails. After all the attempt to fabricate a case against gun rights is ultimately noble.

You’re probably right, but it needs to be a matter of public record that this was one of the factors behind the operation, and it needs to be tied not only to Obama, but to Democratic Party policy and liberal philosophy in general. Conservatives in the meantime need to stop being so squeamish about the real purpose behind the 2nd Amendment. How many Republicans can you recall on the mainstream media defending Sharon Angle, despite the fact that she was one hundred percent right?
