Report: 14-Year-Old Runaway Girl Gets Banged at ‘Occupy’ Protest in Dallas

You call it “statutory rape.” The 99% call it “social justice“:

Dallas Police continue to investigate whether a teenage runaway was sexually assaulted by an adult male at the Occupy Dallas encampment behind City Hall.
A source within the Dallas Police Department who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation said the girl ran away from home in Garland last month and that she is now refusing to cooperate with investigators. She initially told officers that she had sex with a man in his early twenties and had engaged in sexual activity with several other people.
Some members of the group told CBS 11 the girl identified herself as a 19-year-old and never knew she was 14.

    But at least the lefties are adhering to their (low) moral and ethical standards. 

    Which just means that it’s imperative to keep sheep, goats, donkeys, and similar livestock away from all #Occupy locations.

    Well, if your group claims to represent 99% of the population, you are going to get every kind of perversion represented.   The problem with OWS is most people think of themselves as exceptional and would not self-identify with this group.  I may not have enough to be in the 1%, but no way do I want these people claiming me as part of their movement.

    I read it as ‘banged’ as in the interminable banging of those damn drums at all of these protests.

    It’s an accurate, if blunt and brutal, headline.  With the left, who like to frame the message to their advantage, you have to be very clear.  This is.

    You are correct.  It is a strict liability crime.  No Mens Rea (Mental State or mental guilt) is required.  Basically, if it can be proven that you committed the act, you are guilty, even if you thought that the girl was over the age of 18, and she PROVED it to you by showing you FALSE documents.

    In this case, it doesn’t matter what the individual thought.  The ACTION is the only thing that the criminal law cares about under strict liability crimes (you performed the act = you are guilty).
