The news of Barney Frank ejecting really puts Tea in the teacup. Via Sissy Willis, we have Brendan Steinhauser offering a bi-partisan list of people who may not be on Santa’s ‘Nice’ list next month:Remember: it’s all swell and spiffy to decry the corruption, and eject the incumbents, but unless the next round of knobs is elected specifically unwind the system that drives all this corruption, those new knobs will be indistinguishable from the current round in no time flat.

” those new knobs will be indistinguishable from the current round in no time flat.”

    “Rock Star Renee” for example.

I’d have more confidence in these self-appointed “Tea Party spokesmen/hubs/organizations” who were elected by no one but themselves if they were smarter.

The single specific citation against Hatch:  his vote against banning “earmarks.”  Only the stupid and uninformed are opposed to “earmarks” themselves.  It is the process of inserting them secretly, avoiding debate, review, and responsibility, which is outrageous and objectionable.

But “earmarks” are the only way Congress has of making sure money is spent on the precise program for which it is appropriated.  Lacking earmarks, you only give more leeway to the Executive branch in spending the money.

Is that what “Tea Partiers” want?  To give Obama a blank check?  I doubt it, but those who only bother to listen superficially without educating themselves and follow these unelected jackasses blindly will do just that if allowed.

As a parting trivia, which GOP House member has been among the top five Republican pork spenders and earmarkers for twenty years in a row?

Aw, you guessed it:  Ron Paul, “man of principle.”

That’s an interesting factoid. Cite, please?

Earmarks are the cash filled envelopes that grease the wheels of everything else that’s wrong in DC.
