As usual, this post contains links to material that may not be suitable for all readers. The management accepts no responsibility for the contamination of your precious bodily fluids, reduction in strakh, or other forms of social ostracism.

EBL kicks off the week with a warning about Peak Bacon, notes the arrival of Oktoberfest, and brings Brazilian craziness to Zilla’s Batsh*t Crazy News. Also, Diane Lane!

Elsewhere in the blogosphere, Laughing Conservative brings us Elle Liberachi, Fishersville Mike alerts us to “Revolution”, and Blake Lively catches the eye of Polyphemus. Reaganite Republican spotlights Fox News reporter Julie Banderas, while Three Beers Later posts Kellie Pickler videos, Beer Goggles and family values, and some wholesome family exercise fun.

A View From The Beach didn’t let being on vacation in Italy keep him from some Rule 5 posts. Looka Data Girl, Quinque Terra, St. Mark’s Basilica, and Venice all got covered; back home, it was weiners being pulled and some tuna. All done from an iPad on a crowded bus, too.

El Opinador Compulsivo checks in this week with another fine B&W gallery, Sofia Vergara busting out, ballooning, another shot of Sofia, an eyeful, and a tasteful reflection on the new government in Quebec.

Soylent Green starts the week early with a Sunday morning snoochette, continuing with Monday Motivationer Jessa, Tuesday Titillation Megan, Humpday Hawt Fernanda, a commemoration of the 19,000th commenter, overnighty Mila, “All Is Proceeding As Planned”, Corsetcare The Musical, overnighty Jengie, afternooner Kitty B, and snooch de soir.

Proof Positive’s Friday Night Babe is Anna Torv, Vintage Babe is Anne Archer, and Sex In Advertising asks, “Got Milk?”. Also, obligatory 49ers cheerleader. Dustbury has Kirsten Prout and Queen of the Bronies Tara Strong. At the Camp of the Saints, it’s Hannah Simone and the Rule 5 News.

Back from vacation and into the cleanup spot, it’s the DaleyGator and his DaleyBabes! This week, Laila Ali with a Rule 5 roundup, Melanie Elyza, Demi Lovato, Hikari Agarie, Carrie Underwood giving a boy his first kiss, Precious Muir, Faith Ford, Michelle Kwan, Krystal Forscutt, Rebecca Rubio, and Alana Campos.

Thanks to everyone for their linkagery!   To be included in next week’s roundup, send your links to the Rule 5 Wombat mailbox no later than Saturday, October 6.

Hey, I just noticed something I thought I would spam around in case anyone is interested. I was doing research on absentee ballot requests. Seems requests are generally down from 2008, except in Iowa. In Iowa the requests are “blowing the doors off” of 2008 requests. Ok, no big deal, right. But a closer look shows something very interesting. Iowa has a roughly 50/50 voter demographic. In 2008 the turnout was only D+1. Absentee ballot requests are 10 to 1 in favor of Democrats. One would think that the mix of absentee requests would pretty closely match the makeup of the electorate and not be skewed 10-1 in favor of one party in an even state. Funny business?

Well, I justify doing the Rule 5 thing on the same grounds that the late Lewis Grizzard used to justify visiting the strip clubs in Atlanta, i.e. the necessity of admiring and praising what God has created. 🙂
