GALLUP: ROMNEY 52, OBAMA 45 — Let the Great 2012 Liberal Freak-Out Begin!

Posted on | October 18, 2012 | 22 Comments

They convinced themselves that Obama “won” Tuesday’s debate, but Romney actually gains in the first Gallup national tracking poll with post-debate reaction? Oh, boy.

UPDATE: Ace explains what happened:

The debate was not a victory for Obama. It was a confirmation of Romney’s acceptability, plausibility, and fitness for office.

Yesterday, Sully admitted he had been “on the ledge”:

Guess what?

UPDATE II: Ed Morrissey points out that these latest numbers indicate that neither of the past two debates helped Obama among likely voters.

Wonder if Sully’s worried he’ll get deported as an undesirable alien for his dope bust in 2009 under a Romney administration? Sucks to be him! (uh, so to speak)

The first indicators were the debate polls showing viewers thought Obama “won” the debate but scored Romney as better qualified on virtually every issue & by 2-1 on jobs and the economy, and the focus groups on Fox and MSNBC which thought Romney won.

The Left thought Obama did a great job because he came off as an arrogant jerk like 99% of his supporters. But to the rest of America, the one thing he had going was his “likeability,” and he just threw that under the bus.

Goodbye to the Stevie Wonder “Don’t You Worry ’bout a Thing” President, say hello to the 2 Live Crew “Nasty As I Wanna Be” President.

Another clue Obama knows he is losing: No big victory party this year. His concession speech will be indoors at the hard-to-access Convention Center, not the lovefest in the park of 2008: http://po.st/7BaXZG

    9. Barack Obama appeared to be raging on cocaine
    last night.

I have several friends who are in the medical profession and
work regularly with drug patients. I also have spent the
last 15 years either working in or covering the nightlife
scene in major cities like Chicago…so I’ve seen people who
abuse drugs to the point of losing control and the ability
to function like a normal person. I’ve seen people I liked
and admire destroy themselves with cocaine, in particular.
Barack Obama was clearly high on coke last night and must
have snorted quite a bit of it at the Marriott hotel before
he was driven to the Hofstra campus.

A fuller picture of Obama’s drug abuse is emerging as a
result. You remember his lethargic, odd, and drained
performance at the first presidential debate in Denver where
he appeared to either be on drugs or in withdrawal from
drugs at the time. I’m not convinced he was in withdrawal
and that someone close to him — probably Valerie Jarrett —
made the bad decision to detox Obama at that Las Vegas golf
course a few days prior to the debate to attempt to have him
do the 90 minutes sober. It was a disaster, and you saw how
Michelle and Jarrett yanked Barack off the stage as fast as
they could and got him away from the cameras the second the
train wreck ended. Obama took the week before last night’s
debate to prepare himself at a “golfing” resort too, but
when he hit the stage it was obvious that he was back on
cocaine again. No longer in withdrawal, he was high as a
kite and came out punching. At times his voice was shrill,
he blinked like crazy, and there were moments where I feared
    he’d physically attack Mitt Romney.

Now, of course, Obama’s base loved this. These are the
people who think Occupy Wall Street was a good thing so they
applaud thuggish behavior. But drugs are the only
explanation for the night and day transformation between
First Debate Obama (who was in withdrawal from drugs) and
Second Debate Obama (who was clearly on cocaine).

I remember back in my event planner days when I had to deal
with guys strung out on coke; those were scary times,
because I never knew what these guys could do but prepared
myself for them to get violent and physical at any moment.
My friends who counsel drug addicts told me last night and
today that, yes, it appeared the President of the United
States had been snorting cocaine last night. They even told
me to keep looking at his face and general physical
appearance His cheeks are so gaunt…his nose looks like it’s
collapsing near the bridge…there are dark circles under his
eyes and his lips look ashen and discolored. This is not a
well man, or a man who can function anymore without massive
infusions of cocaine it would seem.

The signs are all there. You will never, ever hear the
Ministry of Truth that is our national media talk about
this. But in a few years the truth on all this will come
out and you will have heard it hear first that Barack Obama
was high on cocaine in the second presidential debate of
    2012
