Deranged Cyberstalker Bill Schmalfeldt Inspires Epic ‘Downfall’ Parody Video

Bill Schmalfeldt: Even crazier than he looks and he looks pretty damned crazy.

If you don’t know the backstory on this epic saga, a brief summary may be necessary: Deranged cyberstalker Bill Schmalfeldt is a troll so obnoxious he got banned from Daily Kos for a genuinely disgusting rant about anal rape. He got banned from the Examiner for being a serial violator of . . . well, just about everything, really.

How to describe his history of online failures? The Internet is to Bill Schmalfeldt what Acme Rocket Skates are to Wile E. Coyote.

Did I mention that he once blogged as “Brain-Damaged Troll“?

No matter how many times he fails — and he always fails — Bill Schmalfeldt can’t seem to figure out that he is responsible for his own failures, and instead externalizes blame onto scapegoats. He enjoys threatening and bullying people, taking sadistic pleasure in describing the terrible things that will happen to his enemies.

For example, in 2011, Schmalfeldt decided to launch a scorched-earth war of annihilation against a Facebook group that was supporting Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker against the Democrat/union-backed recall petition campaign. Schmalfeldt was going to expose these Evil Republican Facebookers, you see, because in Schmalfeldt’s demented imagination, they were some kind of criminal conspiracy. And also, I think, some of them may have mocked him as a fat old ridiculous douchebag. (See? They’re evil!) Schmalfeldt once threatened a guy for “liking” a Facebook page that ridiculed Schmalfeldt:

“By 5 pm today, October 25, Eastern Time, you will write me at [e-mail address] and tell me everything you know about relationship with the whole Knot group.”

The pro-Walker blog Knot My Wisconsin recounts another typical threat by Schmalfeldt — “I’ll sue you into poverty!”

So by June 2012, when Schmalfeldt started cyberstalking Aaron Walker, his characteristic methods were already well-established. Over the course of several months, Bill expanded his range of targets to include others on Brett Kimberlin’s Enemies List, and did such heinous things to Lee Stranahan that in February Stranahan flew to Maryland and filed criminal harassment charges against him.

Blogger John Hoge assisted Stranahan in that effort, and Schmalfeldt then began cyberstalking Hoge with such lunatic vehemence that Hoge filed his own complaints against Schmalfeldt. Finally, in June, a Maryland court granted Hoge a peace order against Schmalfeldt.

At times, Brett Kimberlin himself appeared in court to support Schmalfeldt, lending credence to the suspicion that Bill wasn’t doing this just because he’s a wacko nutjob — although he certainly is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs — but that Bill was being paid to do so on behalf of Kimberlin, the notorious bomber-turned-progressive activist. This is mere suspicion, of course: You can’t prove Kimberlin pays Internet trolls to harass his enemies, but some people suspect so.

OK, so now Kimberlin’s world is falling apart, and meanwhile he’s got this maniac henchperson (paid or volunteer) making an embarrassing nuisance of himself online. Schmalfeldt is now charged with having violated the Maryland peace order.

And meanwhile, in an underground bunker in Berlin . . .
