Shout Out To Princess Pelosi

by Smitty

Poor Princess Pelosi; once so regal. Now another beagle.
To the tune of “I’m a Little Teapot“:

I’m a bitter clinger, hear me roar.
Once I had power,
For now, it’s no more.
When I get all Beamed up,
Hear me shout!
Elections are over
Soon they’ll throw me out.

I’m a bitter clinger, yes it’s true.
Staying past my sell date’s what I do.
Scheming on my comeback; foes I’ll rout:
Tea Partiers Will. Pay. Have. No. Doubt.

She can still raise more money than any other Dem in the house. That’s at least as important as anything else, anyone else can do for Dems in the house. If they don’t win the presidency in 2016 there will probably be a significant purge then, but not before.

Man, why you gotta insult beagles like that?

Money only goes so far in politics; President Trump and Romney can tell you about that.

Spell check changed great to greasy, but in Fancy Nancy’s case, greasy may be more appropriate!

I reckoned that “greasy” was an apt description for anything she has her hands in.

I think that would pertain more to the Harry Reid sequel. . .

Absolutely, but right now no one in or potentially in the Dem caucus leadership can do anything for their members other than help them get reelected. Might as well go with Pelosi for the money.

Democrats overturned the strict seniority system first, after the 1974 election – also a banner year for the hard left as Watergate was in full bloom, Nixon had resigned and Ford pardoned him. But people like Pelosi and Jim Clyburn still rose to leadership by seniority alone. Neither was particularly influential or persuasive.

But they both were members of Democrat Favored Groups and as such could demand their ‘just rewards’ of seniority without scrutiny. What were Democrats going to do after putting all their chips on identity politics? Deny a woman and a black man positions?

As the late Chuck Colson would have said, the Democrats were ‘hoist on their own petard’ with that one. And with those two in very safe districts, they will remain in leadership until they decide to step down. Winning or losing has no effect at all on it.

One or two of her picks for Ranking Committee Member got clipped. Even if the Dems keep the WH I can’t imagine a Dem wave before 2018 at the earliest if ever. So she has to hang on for four years minimum to get the chair back.

This is the fate of all systems without competition: they become tired and sclerotic. The current Democratic Party is starting to resemble the Politburo.

Unless they’re in town, the big pond is between he and his in laws. If they are in town, then it would be unforgivable for him to try to avoid them. Plus, they may have brought a spot if Schnapps with them.

Now that I’ve looked up Oleaginous I agree.
That’s one of the things I like about this site and folks that hang around it- it broadens my knowledge.
    Thanks QM!

O/T (with the exception that Pelosi is definitely a SCOP, but her prey are the special snowflakes in San Fransisco, and not some race-based group)…

I threw together some important demographic stuff in a comment over at Scoops. If any of you bloggers that hang out here want to take it and improve on it, be my guest. It has some useful links. (I’ll be happy to collaborate on the finished piece if that helps.)

The thread is about Calypso Louie’s claim that “We’ll tear this G**damn country up!”. I wrote it in response, but also because it’s been something of a pet project on the back burner, and as usual, I’m supposed to be doing other important work instead.

Check it out, and let me know what you think:

I’d love to reprint that whole comment of yours over at my site, if that’s okay, K-Bob.

    Insightful and well done.

The increases in the numbers of mixed-race people will not abate, I think. It seems to me it is the next natural phase after the rise in the ethnic intermarriage [I am a product of the latter, as are so many of my age].

Be my guest! It’s got every point in it I meant to cover except a few that were left as an exercise for the reader:

    1) The folks identifying as black will stay at about the same level as now, which is around 13%. (I’d say there’s a 2 percentage point fudge factor in all of these bands.) Some demographers claim the black population will rise by maybe 1 & 1/2 points, but I’m pretty sure that’s just whistling past the graveyard. Abortion rates among black women indicate that is highly unlikely.

    2) The band in the second graphic titled “White alone” is meant to include whites from any ethnic background or national origin. AIAN means “American Indian or Alaska Native” and NHPI means “Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander”

Chop it up any way you want.
