55k Actual Pages. You’re [Redacted] Me

So, Her Majesty blows off common sense and any number of regulations to run her own email server while in office. Her Royal Bluff is called, and she’s all

I want the public to see my email, ” she wrote in the Tweet. “I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible.”

What is “soon” on the Regal Timepiece?

What does that mean, 55,000 “pages”? Or maybe you just read it, as the crack fact-check team over at PolitiFact did just last night, as 55,000 emails.

It turns out the reference is to literal physical pages. From Friday’s Times: “Finally, in December, dozens of boxes filled with 50,000 pages of printed emails from Mrs. Clinton’s personal account were delivered to the State Department.”

Why did Mrs. Clinton have her staff go through the trouble of printing out, boxing and shipping 50,000 or 55,000 pages instead of just sending a copy of the electronic record? One can only speculate, but there is an obvious advantage: Printed files are less informative and far harder to search than the electronic originals.

Given the Imperial non-command of security, one can only hope that a ream or twa is not mislaid in the process.

I mean, sure would be a cryin’, godforsaken shame if somebody got ahold of a box, scanned them with a drunken OCR program, and had Her Majesty in a furious catfight with President Jarrett over an Ambassador getting whacked, or something. No, that would never happen. Too farfetched. Who would believe anything less that exactly what the Regal Lips have uttered?

Also:

Gov. Palin: “I faced tough questions over email, so should Hillary Clinton”

Fat chance o’ that, guv.

There’s a term for this you’d be aware of sir.

    Vindictive (or malicious) compliance.

It’s like she’s a Third Class doing exactly what the Chief said, and doing it in such a way that it’s calibrated to annoy you into quitting.

Worst of all, the Media Clerisy is enabling it.

Malicious compliance, or obstructive conformity? You be the judge, but first put down the noose.

    There’s a practical difference?

This is exactly the type of ‘bipartisan’ behavior we can expect if we elect Hillary president.

The main difference between the Obama and Hillary style of leadership will be that instead of being called a “RACIST!!” every 5 minutes, we’ll all be called “SEXIST!!!”

Obstruction would seem to precede malice?

    Gowdy needs a SWAT team.
I think James Carville nailed when he was talking to Andrea Mitchel, when it comes to the Clintons it’s always something.

Lord preserve us if that “something” is Her Majesty’s coronation in 2017.

I still can’t vote for Jeb.

Clinton’s being petulant, but it’s not that big of a deal. It’s easy enough to scan all the pages and run the images through some good optical character recognition (OCR) software. That will capture about 85% (admitted guess-timate, but having worked in the software industry, I think it’s a fair approximation) of the text accurately & flag bad/questionable sections for review. HIll did something crappy, but it’s not even remotely a catastrophe. Just a PITA.

Hillary is being a bitch. But 55,000 pages is about 10 boxes (the size a ream of paper comes in). What you do is scan the documents and with the right software you can search it anyway.

Technology cuts both ways. She can run and delay but she cannot hide (unless the media helps her hide in plain sight). The GOP needs to grow a set and start subpoenaing the servers and emails and be ready to street fight (like the Democrats did on everything involving GWB).

  11. M. Thompson
    March 9th, 2015 @ 8:14 pm

    That’s why it’s vindictive compliance.

I’ll give you vindictive–this is Her Majesty. But compliance? Not under this sun.

Obeying the letter, but doing it in a manner that makes ensuring it has been done properly is impossible.

    March 9th, 2015 @ 8:35 pm

She is trying to hide the real dirt. #SeizeTheServers is absolutely right. If you get a list of her recipients then you start subpoenaing their files to cross reference. Some may be lost but you would be surprised how hard it is to hide emails. It will take time, effort and commitment, but it definitely can be done.

  17. Evi L. Bloggerlady
    March 9th, 2015 @ 8:37 pm

Not by the Clintons or the Democrats, that is for sure.

Unless of course enough Democrats smell blood in the water and take her out like a feeding frenzy school of piranhas!

Under no circumstances could I vote for Jeb either, nor Christie, Kasich and even Rubio has a lota splaining to do. There are probably a few others who I couldn’t vote for that I don’t consider viable candidates in the first place.
Since Gowdy doesn’t have a SWAT team we already know the facts will never becomes public. So a different tact is needed. Pound on the character flaws the email and the foundation donations illustrate. Don’t over speculate on what this whole scheme is hiding but keep pointing out that it had to be designed to hide something. Prior bad acts by others isn’t an affirmative defense. Hillary’s MIB cleanup squad is trying to use Bill and Hillary’s prior bad acts as a defense.Smells like desperation. Shes working on coming up with some halfass answers but is delaying deploying them because she has no answers for the inevitable followup questions.
Keep asking the American people if four or eight years of this same crap is really what they want.

I’ll bet 55,000 pages would take ONE WEEK to go through if they were crowdsourced. On the one hand, massive potential breach of classified material. On the other hand, all our enemies probably already have it, and the need for transparency is greater.

There is no substitute for the servers. Not only to ensure compliance that 100% of the emails are there (barring yet other hidden servers), but also to make a forensic examination to see if we can determine just how many times she was hacked and by whom.

  31. DeadMessenger
    March 9th, 2015 @ 11:25 pm

Or maybe Gowdy needs a crowd funding campaign to finance the cost of scanning and searching all those docs, within, say 30-60 days. Contributors would get first crack at a website with all non-redacted material.

IIRC, this was already a big scandal right after last year’s conference. I think that this year’s February news report was just a timely reminder.

Also, the sheriff wasn’t kidding. Seaside is a coastal town in a rural (and therefore conservative) county, and his voters would want him to watch the conference like a hawk.

They really overstepped their bounds last year, talking to teens about sex in a way that sometimes resembled promotion of perversion more than prevention of pregnancy. More like grooming than education.

They keep on trying to push us into “a brave new world,” but there are still people pushing back. For now.

Had this been any other Official, the FBI would’ve seized the entire server by now.

But the Administration knows she’s holding evidence they don’t want made public either, and pressuring Hillary could result in selective email being leaked that they’re not willing to address.

If Mr. Gowdy wants to be picky, she hasn’t turned over one email, if I understand what the ‘e’ stands for.

In the picture of her on board the military aircraft she appears to be holding a Blackberry. Research In Motion use their own BES servers. Her recent messages if not her emails may still be on them.
