On this day, I’d like to thank 2007 me, who woke up and realized that the “counter-jihad” bloggers were in truth a bunch of bigots and fascists. And I’d also like to thank the 2009 me, who realized that the Republican Party was dangerously off the rails, and publicly jumped off their runaway right wing train. . . .

Diary of Daedalus has more, for those readers whose reaction to such news is, “Oh, you mean Little Green Footballs is still online?”

If you didn’t discover the blogosphere until after 2007, of course, your reaction is probably, “Charles Who?”

He used to be somebody important, believe it or not.

I learned long ago that it’s pointless to argue against
creationism. People who have trained themselves to ignore logic and science
will not be convinced by logic and science.

People used to believe the earth was flat, and that the
entire universe revolved around us. Creationism springs from the same human

Anamika’s behavior reminds me of the time Charles sent Killgore Trout over to Hotair to post racist comments in the middle of the night so he had proof that Hotair was a bunch of rabid little racists. Charles is like the Bill Maher of the blogosphere. Everything he does is a scream for help.

Darwinism isn’t the declaration that “it’s caused by natural phenomena” anymore than the nucleotide sequence is “caused by physics.”

The way idolators of Science are always throwing out “flat earth” stuff — as if theism were as demonstrably false as that — shows how deeply they have been indoctrinated into their own mythos, a narrative arc of Progress and Enlightenment, so that all one has to do is to subscribe to their worldview and one becomes, by that very act of belief, intellectually superior to anyone who believes in God.

Charles Johnson was right then about that and he is *still* right about that. He never did “hide” his personal opposition to creationism. He just chose not to be di… um, JERKish about it… until he instituted the upding/downding system and discovered to what degree Conservatives believe in nonsense.

To the extent that creationism is Christianity, that’s a problem with Christianity. I see from the comments here that not much has changed amongst Conservatives and Christians – you’re still a stubborn bunch of ignorant fatheads, at least on this topic, and I shudder to think on what other topics.

Eventually non-creationists just get bored of arguing with you people and join the Left. As of 2008, that number was 52%. Wanna go for 60%?

It’s rather strange, really, than anyone should be so absolutely certain that the cosmos — himself included — is all the accidental result of randomness. From this certainty stems your ferocious hatred of the “ignorant fatheads” who are in some way skeptical of your own belief (or, rather, non-belief).

quite ill, and doesn’t know it. I suppose most stalkers don’t know that
they are ill, or they wouldn’t be stalkers. It’s sick, psychopathic
behavior, and now followed by some long drawn out absurb justifications,
which he probably believes are true.

A person who is being

I never read LGF until I encountered the small circle of bloggers who are obsessed with hating on it. It seems the people who read LGF the most faithfully are those who insist it means nothing to them.
The fact that Stacy still monitors LGF and blogs about it after all these years makes Charles look like Stacy’s Mr. Darcy. Stacy has “sworn to hate him for all eternity,” but the attraction is undeniable.

Chuck used to be a decent source of info. Many of us were members “back in the day.” Then he apparently had a stroke or something and turned radical liberal almost overnight and lashed out at all his former “friends.” He absolutely cannot handle criticism or dissent. You can have Theism and evolution at the same time. Lots of people believe in God and don’t have a problem with evolution, (every Christian sect except Baptists, generally.)

If you mean a “creationist” is anybody who thinks God had a hand in the creation of the universe and everything living in it, via the mechanism of evolution, then these non-Baptists are creationists.

But if by “creationist” you mean anybody who thinks evolution didn’t happen, doesn’t happen, because humans poofed into existence fully formed in a magic puff of smoke 6500 years ago, then these non-Baptists are not creationists.

When people declare they are one or the other and the definitions aren’t even the same to each party, it’s just useless crosstalk.

But you do agree that it was Charles who first attacked conservatives? Then you should agree that Stacy had every right to remark on that publicly, just like Johnson publicly attacked conservatives. This is a man who made a name for himself largely by appealing to conservatives, so when he turned on them, whatever his reasons, its kind of obvious that Stacy and others would remark on that, and yes attack him in kind. Whether Stacy is in fact now kicking a dead horse is a whole nuther issue. Johnson is a shell of his former self. Now the most interesting things he posts are old nineteen sixties Marvel comic book covers. It’s sad in a way, but he does still blog and he does still attack conservatives, to this day, so as long as he does that, he can expect to be kicked while he’s down.

All Leftists believe that they have THE ANSWER, that they are The Illuminated Ones who have unlocked the door that leads to the room that contains The Secrets Of the Universe. Such people have only contempt for those who believe in the transcendent – that there are things that will never be known, that, perhaps, there is a Divine Presence.

The Enlightened Ones believe they have THE ANSWER because they have developed their theories in the sterile laboratories of their minds where there are no loose ends, where all can be logically known and, therefore, they come to believe that mystery only exists due to ignorance.

One has to feel truly sorry for these people because such a materialistic world view ends in nothingness. Thus, the reason all Leftists ultimately become Nihilists – hating themselves, all others, and life.

Creationism is the ides that God created everything we see around us, not just “had a hand in it.”

The problem with using the term “evolution” is that it is generally used to conflate a fact with Darwinism which is nothing but philosophical speculation at best. Real evolution is seen by the fact we can engineer it – selective breeding is an example of this sort of thing. In the end, however, it leaves with no new species. A Dachsund and Great Dane are both Canis Familiaris. The nature we it in the form of natural selection, and it too finishes with the same species as when it started.

Darwinism is simply philosophy masquerading as science, and has no root in science.
