I’m looking to catch 2016: Obama’s America this Friday night with the Alexandria Tea Party. Instapundit links Hollywood Reporter:

An anti-Obama documentary based on conservative author Dinesh D’Souza’s book The Roots of Obama’s Rage will expand nationwide this weekend after doing notable business in select markets across the country — including in liberally minded New York City.

So let’s all get out there and watch this flick and quantify precisely #OccupyResoluteDesk precisely how much we love him. Negative numbers are acceptable.

Update: and then there is this:

I just don’t see how BHO is going to weather all the blowback when He’s. Got. Nothing.

I read that the lines at the NYC theatre where it played were similar to a major hit movie. Not quite the fanatical lines for a new “Star Wars” or other hyped film, but comparable to the box office leaders on a normal opening.

It’s finally coming up here to New England. Now let me see if I can convince the Ball And Chain to go.

Enjoy the movie, sir, but never lose sight of the Republicans uncanny ability to seize defeat from the jaws of victory. A word to the wise…..

Saw it today – take an “undecided” to see – it is a mind and hopefully a game changer.

Do your favorite sports teams win them all? In the nine Presidential terms from 1933-1968, Ike was the only Republican winner. From 1933 – 1994, we had controlled the House for a single Congress, although we did also manage to contest the Senate under Reagan. The record since 1968, even with Watergate and the brief Democratic resurgence under Bush, has been rather encouraging for Republicans.

Our democratic republic is designed to make it very difficult for the same side to win every election.

You raise some interesting points. However, during the 1933-1994 period you mention the Republicans actually controlled the House twice: the 80th Congress (’47-’49), and the 83rd Congress (’53-’55). A minor error.
No, my favorite teams don’t win them all, although my current favorite — the Nats — have been winning a lot lately :>)
