Celebrity Feminist Emma Watson Says Something Really Stupid on Twitter

Posted on | August 19, 2014 | 27 Comments

Emma Watson (@EmWatson) is the actress most famous for her part in the Harry Potter movies. More recently, she has become “Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women,” a job that evidently requires her to say silly feminist stuff on Twitter, e.g.:

Gender equality not only liberates women but also men from prescribed gender stereotypes.

Ri-iiight. Because what guys really need is to be liberated from “prescribed gender stereotypes.” All the hot babes like Emma Watson are crazy for guys who don’t fit “prescribed gender stereotypes,” right? So you will probably be surprised to learn that Emma Watson is dating a bald scrawny impoverished poet the biggest jock at an elite university:

According to a multiple outlets, the 23-year-old former “Harry Potter” film star has recently begun dating a fellow Oxford University student named Matthew Janney. . . .
The UK’s Mirror reported . . . that Janney, 21, is not only a student at the prestigious institution, he is also a star rugby player for their varsity team. Despite his prized athletic skills, Janney has also been recognized for something else: his looks. According to the report, the college student was named “Oxford’s most eligible bachelor” and “best looking player” by the university’s rugby team’s official Twitter account.

In other words, an Alpha male, the epitome of “prescribed gender stereotypes” from which Emma Watson says we need to be liberated.

Smart young fellows figure out that listening to what women say is less important than watching what women do. Women are constantly saying they want sensitive Ashley Wilkes types, even while they’re actually going crazy for the Rhett Butler types. But women are hopelessly fickle and self-contradictory, anyway.

Women are one minute praising the “strong, silent type” of guy as an ideal, and the next minute complaining that their guy doesn’t talk enough about his feelings. If a man organizes his life around trying to do everything a woman says she wants, he’ll end up having a nervous breakdown from the impossibility of the task.

This is not to say that men should be rude and domineering. It is to say that being a spineless doormat isn’t sexy. And if a feminist says she hates “prescribed gender stereotypes,” you can bet that her actions will contradict her words. When all is said and done, the basic human sex instinct is still as simple as, “Me Tarzan, you Jane.”

Advice to Emma Watson: Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining.

Miss Watson is all of 24, with all the attendant experience that implies.

Wouldn’t it take surgery to reassign the blog’s prescribed gender name?

“This is not to say that men should be rude and domineering.”

Being abusive is totally uncool, but being rude on occasion is not always ill-advised.

    She is not that stupid.

I assume she’s quite intelligent. But at that age, she barely knows what she’s talking about.

What does a woman want in a man?
Any and every quality the man she’s with at that moment lacks.

Exactly. And the first word that came to my mind when I read her tweet was “university”.

Her tweet wasn’t an original thought, it’s what she’s been taught to say by leftwing professors. She’s too young and inexperienced to know any better. She’s just old enough and smart enough to repeat what she thinks she’s expected to say.

Her twitter is twaddle (spoon fed crap from some professor), but she did not go and actually become a feminist.

Not that t will matter, ’cause you’ve described a girly-boy in the first place.

Actually, I prefer to fight rude with biting sarcasm on the occasions where that works better, which is most of the time. On those occasions in which your opponent cannot figure out whether he has been complimented or insulted, everyone else around can.

I’ve read that tweet now about 20 times, and still don’t know what point she’s attempting to make with that assertion. At best, its a rhetorical tautology: “Gender equality is, like, equality for both women and men! Seriously, you guys.”

“Please don’t judge me as a snob for not going out with you. If only you were more sensitive, I surely would. Meantime, until you men get it right, I’ll have to console myself with Alpha dude.”…..a somewhat more cynical thought…????

The liberal women in this video seem downright receptive to male interaction after their shooting session.

And the liberal guy enjoyed the pumping part.

    It’s very simple, really…
you can rewrite her comment thus, while preserving the content:

“I’ve got my Hunk— but my posterior is platinum-plated, so you girls are only allowed Alpha-Male rejects and below on the scale.

And btw, girls, my night-soil is naturally rose-scented, too.
