Crazy People Are Dangerous: Minnesota Lesbian Suicide-by-Cop Edition

Last week when I wrote about the death of Renee Good, almost nothing was known about the background of the woman who got shot to death while trying to run over an ICE agent in Minneapolis.

Now we have several important facts, although still not the kind of coherent biography we need to fully understand her suicidal behavior. Most importantly, however, we do have more video of the incident — including from the ICE agent’s own cell phone — that demonstrates that Good and her lesbian “wife” were not innocent civilians:

Renee Nicole Good’s wife was antagonizing ICE agents and even urged her to “drive baby, drive” just moments before the fatal shooting in Minneapolis, according to shocking new video taken on the agent’s own cell phone.
The video — filmed by agent Jonathan Ross on Wednesday and obtained by Alpha News — shows the heated interaction between the Goods in the lead-up to the shooting.
Renee can be seen behind the driver’s seat of the plum-colored Honda Pilot, while her wife, Rebecca, stands in the street next to the car. A dog is also sitting in the back seat, peering out an open window.
As Ross records the interaction, Renee says to him, “That’s fine dude, I’m not mad at you” before her spouse starts jawing at the federal officer as whistles and sirens can be heard in the background.
“You wanna come at us? I say go get yourself some lunch, big boy. Go ahead,” Rebecca sneers at Ross while filming on her own phone outside the car.
Rebecca then tries to get back into the passenger side, as an agent orders, “Get out of the f–king car” and Renee backs up.
As the car is in motion, Rebecca, who is still out of the car, can be heard shouting, “drive, baby, drive, drive” before Renee peels off and clips Ross, prompting him to open fire. . . .
A video taken in the aftermath of the shooting Wednesday showed Rebecca sobbing as she cried, “It’s my fault.”
“I made her come down here; it’s my fault,” she said, her face covered in blood after having attempted to help Renee. “They just shot my wife.”

In the immediate aftermath of last Wednesday’s shooting, it had not yet even been clearly confirmed that Good was part of an anti-ICE protest, and some were still claiming that she was just a random Minneapolis mom who had coincidentally encountered this ICE raid in her neighborhood. But the truth has now been established:

Renee Nicole Good, the mom who was killed by a federal agent after veering her car toward him, was an anti-ICE “warrior” and was part of a group of activists who worked to “document and resist” the federal immigration crackdown in Minnesota, The Post can reveal.
Good, who moved to the city last year, linked up with the anti-ICE activists through her 6-year-old son’s woke charter school, which boasts that it puts “social justice first” and prioritizes “involving kids in political and social activism,” multiple local sources said.
“She was a warrior. She died doing what was right,” a mother named Leesa, whose child attends the same school, told The Post at a growing vigil where Good was killed Wednesday. . . .
Good and her wife, Rebecca, 40, were raising the boy together in the mostly working-class, activist-heavy neighborhood of south Minneapolis, which features tree-lined streets and a large number of homes with windows decked out in LGBTQ+ flags or signs depicting George Floyd.
Just as many others did in the lefty enclave, Good sent her son to Southside Family Charter School, a K-5 academy opened in 1972 that from its inception has been “unabashedly dedicated to social justice education,” according to co-founder Susie Oppenheim.
It was through her involvement in the school community that Good became involved in “ICE Watch” — a loose coalition of activists dedicated to disrupting ICE raids in the sanctuary city.

Via online accounts (that are not yet confirmed, I hasten to add) we are being told that Good faced criminal charges in 2022, and was subsequently charged with violating probation in October 2024. It is also being alleged that Good’s “wife” (no records documenting a legal marriage) Rebecca Brown was accused of abusing Good’s children, but that also is unconfirmed and, in fact, we do not even know if Rebecca’s surname was actually “Brown,” which may be an alias. What we do know is that the couple were living in Kansas City, Missouri, after the 2023 death of Renee’s second husband, and that Renee’s partner filed to have her named changed to Rebecca Brown Good. That was in late 2023, and sometime after Trump was elected in 2024, the couple reportedly moved to Canada, but in recent months had relocated to Minneapolis.

There are still many gaps in this narrative. How did Renee Good meet her lesbian “wife”? Renee was from Colorado Springs, and at least used to be a Christian. So her ending up in a relationship with a lesbian seems kind of weird, and I have yet to see a single news article explaining this bizarre trajectory. All I know is Crazy People Are Dangerous.
