Atlanta may be 76-54, but we swept them in the Launching Pad before coming home and getting whupped by Pete’s Brewers at RFK; we lost Game 1 thanks to the accursed rain gods, but Carl Morton hung on to win his fifth game, 2-1 against George Stone. In Game 3 the Brewers got to Joe Coleman for four runs, but we couldn’t buy a hit off lefty Gary Ryerson, who we should have beaten like a red-headed stepchild. Welp. We’re facing California Tuesday (Monday or Wednesday if I can manage it) and the Daytraders next Friday, so I’m not expecting another 4-2 week. We’ll enjoy the Curly W while it lasts.
