9/11

by Smitty

Forgiveness is liberty
And thus I can find a way
To loose evil bin Laden.

On a sad and mournful day
From where he still lives rent-free
In the hearts of those hatin’.

For looking back, there’s no play
To effect resurrection
For those we’d love to see.

And it’s a contradiction
For the spirit to be gray
In mere static self-pity.

When the mind must drive action
Seeing justice properly
Given to all in the fray.

But emotions are dodgy
Given to vengeance and sin
Keeping problems underway.

Let us deal rationally
And continually pray
Lest we be evil as him.

Last year’s post is here.
