Impeachy-Keen Times For BHO’s Admin.?

by Smitty

The DC Caller:

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, a former chairman of the House Judiciary Committee where Attorney General Eric Holder testified on Thursday, suggested that impeachment of administration officials involved with Operation Fast and Furious may be the only way to bring the scandal to a close.
In a heated exchange between Sensenbrenner and Holder during Thursday’s Judiciary Committee hearing, Sensenbrenner said impeachment is one option on the table if Holder and the Justice Department continue to withhold information from congressional investigators.
Sensenbrenner didn’t specify which administration officials he thinks could face impeachment proceedings, or if Holder is among them. But he did say the drastic measure would be a last resort.

This is one of a half a dozen issues for which the GOP, and GOP presidential candidates, should be wrecking the Obama Administration on a daily basis.

In particular, I want know just how the candidates plan to reform the DOJ. Load-shedding major portions of the staff there seems draconian, but what credible alternative is there for restoring validity after this buffoon Holder?

I still maintain that Holder really doesn’t care one whit about these hearings or the threat of impeachment. Holder knows Barack’s got his back. That is, a pardon. The only way to threaten that is for a credible impeachment threat to emerge. But how do you get by the Worst Senator in History (six weeks and change until 1,000 days since last budget) in order to hold #OccupyResoluteDesk accountable?

Hillary just doesn’t seem up to a full-on coup here.

Q: Can You Tell The Difference Between The World’s Youngest Blogger And The U.S. Attorney General?

by Smitty

A: One of them lacks the maturity for public office; the other one is four months old.
Consider the WYB’s overly precise exposition of both this administration’s Fast & Furious operation, and Eric Holder’s non-approach to explaining to the American people just what these shenanigans mean:

Again, he’s four months old. We can expect, over time, that the WYB will do a better job of conveying the bigger picture of what is going on, without so slavishly reproducing the infantile mewlings of Eric Holder:

Embattled Attorney General Eric Holder today demanded The Daily Caller stop publishing articles about the growing calls in Congress for his resignation because of the failed Operation Fast and Furious gun-walking program.
As Holder’s aide was escorting the attorney general offstage following his remarks Tuesday afternoon at the White House, a Daily Caller reporter introduced himself and shook Holder’s hand. The reporter asked him for a response to the growing chorus of federal legislators demanding his resignation.
Holder stepped towards the exit, then turned around, stepped back toward the reporter, and sternly said, “You guys need to — you need to stop this. It’s not an organic thing that’s just happening. You guys are behind it.”
Holder then walked offstage without answering TheDC’s request for comment about calls for his resignation.

VIDEO: Rep. Allen West Serves Up The Red Meat Clip Of The Year

by Smitty

Rep. Allen West summarizes “Bag” Holder’s ignoble career, and politely suggests that even #OccupyResoluteDesk may be complicit in Fast & Furious.

Wow. To be a fly on the wall when Barack saw that one. . .

via Nice Deb, who has a whole lot more.

Update: Daily Pundit is less impressed. In response to Quick’s objections, my gut is to trust West. The details of the maneuvers may not all be public, not that I have any insight into GOP strategy, if any exists.

Sarah Palin Demonstrates A Better Grasp Of Leadership Than Obama, Though, Admittedly, Barack Sets A Low Bar

Fire Eric Holder, saith the Arctic Fox:

Holder conceded this week, “I have ultimate responsibility for what happens in the department.” He can prove it by resigning. And if he refuses to resign, then President Obama – with whom the bucks ultimately stop – can prove that he respects honesty, transparency, and accountability in his administration by firing Holder.
I stand with the members of Congress who are calling for Holder’s resignation. I stand with the family members of Brian Terry who are demanding transparency and accountability. Mr. President, where do you stand?

I’m uncertain whether this is enough. It may be time to consider the wholesale replacement of the entire Department of Justice. Simple dissolve the Department and re-constitute its legitimate functions with fresh faces.

Of course, now that That Woman has dared to raise her voice, #OccupyResoluteDesk can be expected to offer his best “neener neener neener, you’re not the boss of me” response.

Jerry Sandusky Is To Joe Paterno As. . .

by Smitty

. . .Eric Holder is to. . .

They told me that if I voted for John McCain, executive accountability would be for the little people. So far, they’ve been proven quite correct, no thanks whatsoever to that craven sack of a Senator from Nevada.

Just to belabor the point here, this post is not equating professional incompetence with being a sex offender. The point, rather, is directed at those in charge of the ones living in infamy.

Via Iowahawk on Twitter: as for Sandusky, may God have mercy on your blighted soul, sir. And justice be done. As a newly-minted father, I would really have to pray hard for the Almighty to deliver enough mercy to cover you, if the half of the rumors are true. So let them be false rumors, or, if true, let justice be served.

I’ve heard some say there are humans that “need killin'”.

Update: linked at The POH Diaries, with a picture of Sandusky.
