I have been in contact recently with a gentleman named Liu, who advises me that some business or people in West Taiwan wish to purchase various theothermccain.com.cn URL. Now, there is a strong possibility that this is some kind of scam intended to get Stacy and I to shell out hundreds of bucks to buy these URL ourselves, but on the off chance this is actually a legit heads-up, I would like to welcome our new West Taiwan affiliates and warn them that the Ministry of State Security* may take a dim view of their association with our blog. As you loyal members of the Commentariat are well aware, the policy of this blog has long been that the best place for Communists is in free fall from a helicopter. We are also firm believers in Taiwanese independence, and support reasonable military and commercial steps to discomfit the vile betrayers of the Three People’s Principles currently bedeviling the good people of West Taiwan.

We look forward to sharing posts and Amazon links with our West Taiwanese affiliates and wish them great success in the remaining months of the Year of the Snake, to say nothing of the upcoming Year of the Horse.

What Did China Get for Its Money?

The family of “the big guy” collected over a million dollars:

President Biden’s daughter-in-law Hallie is the mysterious “new” Biden family member who got paid Chinese cash in 2017, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed exclusively to The Post Thursday.
Comer said the payments to first son Hunter Biden’s sister-in-law-turned-former lover were revealed in subpoenaed bank records.
The records show Hallie Biden received $35,000 over two transfers in 2017 from Biden family associate Rob Walker, who got $3 million on March 1, 2017, from State Energy HK Limited, a firm affiliated with CEFC China Energy.
President Biden, who allegedly was the “big guy” mentioned in communications about the same Chinese venture, dined at Hallie Biden’s residence last Friday during his regular weekend trip home to Delaware. It’s unclear if they discussed the looming bombshell, which Comer (R-Ky.) publicly teased Monday night on Fox News’ “Hannity.”
One transfer to Hallie from Robinson Walker LLC was for $25,000 on March 20, 2017, Comer’s staff wrote in a Thursday morning memo to committee members. Another $10,000 was transferred on Feb. 13 — raising “many questions” according to a committee aide because it came shortly before, rather than after, the $3 million haul.
The information creates an unexpected new avenue for investigation — and the memo notes the bank records don’t include the first names of all Biden family recipients, meaning there may be others involved, in addition to Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden.
Hallie Biden is the widow of Beau Biden, who died of brain cancer in 2015, and the mother of two of the president’s grandchildren, Natalie and Robert Hunter. She dated the president’s other son, Hunter, from around 2016 to 2019, a timeframe that included the Chinese dealings.
“Democrats described our subpoena as providing nothing more than records for Papa John’s and Starbucks, but they failed to mention the records we’ve received documenting the Biden family’s business schemes,” Comer told The Post, referring to committee ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin’s disclosure of the subpoenas this week.

What did the Chinese expect in return for this money? That’s the big puzzle. The payment to the Biden family came at a time when Democrats had lost the White House, and one wonders how the Chinese clients expected the family of the former vice president to exercise influence in their favor. Certainly the only “business” involved was influence peddling — what relevant expertise did Hunter Biden offer, other than being Joe Biden’s son? Democrats (and their media allies) seem to believe that the use of cutouts and middlemen to launder these payments from the Chinese is sufficient defense against accusations that Joe Biden himself is guilty of corruption. No sensible person buys this excuse, but still what intrigues me is the question of how the Chinese purchasers of Biden’s influence expected to be repaid for their “investment.”

If we are free to engage in speculation, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that Joe getting his family members paid by the Chinese after he left the vice-presidency was in fact the fulfillment of some secret agreement made while he was still vice president. That is to say, Biden did the Chinese favors during the Obama administration, with the agreement that he’d get paid after he left office. This is just wild speculation, of course, but there must be some explanation for this deal, which on the surface doesn’t make much sense from an influence-buying point of view. Maybe the explanation is simply that the Chinese clients didn’t understand U.S. politics well enough to realize that “former vice president” isn’t a very influential position in America.



 

 

Next Media Narrative: How Joe Biden Defeated the Evil Chinese Spy Balloon

The first 20 minutes on Meet the Press will be devoted to praising Joe Biden’s courage — his steely-eyed resolve and decisiveness — in ordering the Air Force to shoot down this threat to America:

A U.S. military aircraft on Saturday downed the suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that had been floating over the United States for several days, according to a U.S. official and eyewitness videos circulating on social media.
The balloon was brought down just off the Atlantic Coast, near the Carolinas, shortly after the Federal Aviation Administration ordered ground stops for all flights in and out of Wilmington, N.C., Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Charleston, S.C. In a statement, the agency said the ground stop was to “support the Department of Defense in a national security effort.”
President Biden, when asked about the situation earlier Saturday, told reporters, “We’re gonna take care of it.”
The days-long ordeal has placed new strains on what was already a fraught relationship between world powers, leading the Biden administration on Friday to postpone a trip to Beijing by Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The balloon was disclosed to the public on Thursday after appearing over Montana the day before, prompting a temporary stoppage of all flights out of the airport in Billings.

Well, if it was out over the Atlantic Ocean, the balloon had already flown over the whole country and seen whatever it was the Chinese wanted to see, so I don’t grasp quite what this shoot-down accomplished. Karen Townsend points out that the Biden administration’s main concern seems to have been the danger that Republicans would pounce and/or seize on the story, but that won’t stop the Sunday talk shows from turning into revival meetings filled with hymns of praise for Brave Joe Biden.

A Deadly Hate Crime That Liberals Probably Can’t Blame on Tucker Carlson

Say hello to David Wenwei Chou, 68, a resident of Las Vegas, who drove to Orange County, California, with a plan to murder Taiwanese people:

“We believe, based on what we’ve discovered so far, that he specifically targeted the Taiwanese community, and this is one representation of that Taiwanese community,” said Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes, referring to the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church, which was the target of the attack. . . .
Among the evidence recovered, Barnes said, were notes written in Chinese that Chou left in his car showing he did not believe Taiwan should be an independent state from China. Law enforcement sources said investigators recovered a handwritten note in his car setting out his motivations and thinking for the attack.
Chou was born in mainland China and at some point relocated to Taiwan before moving to the United States, according to Barnes. The sheriff said it appears Chou had an issue with Taiwanese people because of the way he said he was treated while living there.
It is not clear how long Chou lived in Taiwan, but Barnes said he has been in the United States for years and is a U.S. citizen.
The FBI has opened a federal hate crime investigation into the shooting, according to Kristi Johnson, assistant director in charge of the bureau’s Los Angeles office. That would be in addition to any local charges filed in Orange County.

Is there a Chinese-language broadcast of Tucker Carlson, in which he incites hatred among Chinese immigrants? Because liberals in the media assure me that he’s the source of all hate in America.

This reminds me of how anti-Semitic and anti-Asian hate crimes were spiking a few months ago, but because the perpetrators were black, liberals didn’t want to talk about the problem. You eventually must realize that Democrats only want to talk about “hate” when it can be used as a way to scapegoat Republicans. Certainly they don’t want to talk about violent crime as an issue, considering how crime is out of control in the very places where Democrats have the most political power. But it’s too early in the morning to get started on Chicago . . .




 

Bang Bang Fang Fang: Eric Swalwell’s China Spy Secrets Inspire Painful Puns

The U.S. Intelligence Community currently has in its possession a classified report that includes intricate and intimate details of the nature of the relationship between Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and a Chinese spy known as “Fang Fang,” Breitbart News has confirmed.
The report, which intelligence and national security sources familiar with its contents who spoke on condition of anonymity told Breitbart News, contains details of the nature of Swalwell’s relationship with Fang Fang including certain sexual acts they allegedly engaged in together. Sources familiar with it, however, would not provide any more detail on the nature of those acts or other details in the report—which is currently classified.

While this classified report has not yet been leaked, and Boyle claims his sources “would not provide any more detail” about exactly what transpired between Swalwell and Fang, the clues are beginning to accumulate, in the form of suggestive phrasing:

“Regardless of whether you would have pegged Eric Swalwell as someone dumb enough to sleep with a CCP spy, the evidence is damning,” a second source familiar with the report’s details, a former external senior adviser to Intelligence Community (IC) leadership, told Breitbart News. “That report should be declassified. There are no concerns about sources or methods. The only purpose served by keeping that report classified is saving Swalwell from embarrassment. That’s not a good enough reason.”

I see what you did there.

Boyle’s editor got in on the hint-hint game Tuesday night:

On Tuesday’s edition of the Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow, author of Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption, stated that a Breitbart News report points to “deep penetration inside” the operation of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) “by the Chinese government.”
Marlow said, “Now, we knew Fang Fang was infiltrating operations within the United States, various offices and having relationships with up-and-coming politicians before she abruptly left the country a few years ago, and we knew she had an intimate relationship with Swalwell. We just didn’t know the extent to which it was intimate.”
“Well, now, apparently, we do, according to this report, which, as of now, Swalwell hasn’t denied,” he continued. “Tucker, this is deep penetration inside the Swalwell operation by the Chinese government.”

Look, I’m not stupid enough to miss those clues, but on the other hand, this is not a subject I want to think about, much less to have to write about, so let’s not . . . uh, probe this topic too much deeper. As far as I’m concerned, these secrets can remain classified forever.




 

Guess Who Noticed a Certain Autistic Swedish Teenager Is Getting Kind of Fat?

Normally, I don’t quote Chinese Communist Party propaganda here — that’s what CNN is for — but it seems that some comrades in Beijing noticed that Greta Thunberg has put on a few pounds lately:

Greta Thunberg has called out Chinese state media for “fat-shaming” her in a scathing article that questioned her vegetarianism, the Independent reported.
The article published last week by the China Daily, a newspaper owned by the propaganda department of the ruling Chinese Communist Party, implied that the 18-year-old climate activist was lying about her meat-free diet.
“Although she claims to be vegetarian, judging from the results of her growth, her carbon emissions are actually not low,” wrote the China Daily journalist Tang Ge.
Thunberg, who is a vegan, responded to the article on Twitter on Friday. She described how being “fat-shamed” by a wing of the Chinese government was a “pretty weird” experience.
“Being fat-shamed by Chinese state-owned media is a pretty weird experience even by my standards,” Thunberg wrote. “But it’s definitely going on my resume.”
The climate activist has been heavily critiqued by the China Daily since posting a tweet on May 7 calling on China to do more to help address the climate crisis, Vice News reported.

CCP propagandists might not understand that Greta’s incipient obesity is a feminist protest against white supremacist heteropatriarchal beauty standards. No self-respecting young SJW wants to be considered attractive by men, because feminism is opposed to heterosexuality as a matter of principle. Therefore, deliberate ugliness is progressive.

Andrea Dworkin is the ultimate feminist role model in this regard — eat all the food, so there’s no food left for men to eat.

Will feminist obesity influence “climate change”? Probably not, primarily because “climate change” is fiction, but even if manmade carbon omissions did affect global temperatures, the excess food intake of feminists would be offset by (a) the decline in birth rates caused by the fact that obese lesbians seldom have children, and (b) the decreased life expectancy due to diabetes, cardio-pulmonary disease, etc.

CCP propagandists aren’t actually worried about “climate change,” of course, because the whole “climate change” scare is actually a CCP propaganda campaign to persuade Western democracies that they should destroy their industrial capacity for the sake of “saving the planet.” China’s still building coal-powered electricity plants, while encouraging America to shut down our own coal plants and build wind farms instead.

Greta Thunberg doesn’t understand this. She’s just an autistic teenager parroting whatever slogans she finds on the Internet. The good news is that the chances of her reproducing are near-zero, mainly because like most autistic teenagers, she lacks the emotional capacity to form successful romantic relationships, but also because she’s a feminist protesting against heteropatriarchal “beauty standards,” which means no man is ever likely to have sex with her. Unless she’s willing to buy donor sperm from a fertility clinic, she’s on her way to a Darwinian extinction event, and being fat will only get her there sooner. Bon voyage!




 

Hunter Biden’s Beijing Honey Trap

Remember when the media spent three years chasing the “Russian collusion” narrative and then Democrats impeached President Trump because of what he said in a phone call with the president of Ukraine? If they were really serious about foreign interference in American politics, the media would be leading every broadcast with this story:

Hunter Biden’s emails reveal his close relationship with the Chinese-American secretary who worked for him when he went into business with the man he called the ‘spy chief of China.’
The mysterious young assistant wrote the president’s son flirty messages, sent him opposition research for Joe’s White House run and encouraged him to draw funds from the company’s accounts when the joint venture collapsed and even ended up with Hunter’s military dog tags.
In 2017 Hunter went into business with Patrick Ho, secretary general of Chinese oil giant CEFC.
Hunter described Ho in a call recording on his abandoned laptop as the ‘spy chief of China’, and the Chinese businessman was later surveilled by US law enforcement as a foreign intelligence threat before he was convicted of bribery in 2018.
After launching his multi-million-dollar joint venture with CEFC, Hunter was assigned a 29-year-old Chinese-American assistant, JiaQi Bao, who quickly struck up a close and intriguing relationship with her Biden boss.
At first, emails show the New York-based Bao diligently scheduled flights, hotels and even doctor’s appointments for the president’s son.
But mysteriously, the young assistant also sent him opposition research to help Joe Biden’s 2020 election bid, urged him to take cash from the joint venture’s accounts as the business collapsed and wrote flirty and personal messages and even ended up with Hunter’s military dog tags in her New York apartment — the same tags he can be seen wearing in home-made porn videos he recorded on his laptop.

Read the whole thing, and remember that the contents of Hunter’s laptop were first made public by Rudy Giuliani who — coincidentally, I’m sure — was recently the target of an FBI raid.
