Media Covers for #FreeKate While Her Supporters Attack the Victim’s Parents

Jailbait Kate: Her crazy supporters will do anything for her.
This CNN story about the Kaitlyn Hunt case doesn’t mention that the age of consent is 16 in Florida until the 13th paragraph:
Gay Florida teen Kaitlyn Hunt sent back
to jail over explicit texts, images
The headline conveys a misleading impression of the case, and although the article includes most of the relevant facts, it is clearly intended to generate sympathy for the criminal:
The court hearing Tuesday was graphic and, for Hunt, emotional. She held a tissue in her handcuffed hands that she repeatedly used to wipe tears from her eyes. The proceeding marked the latest turn in a story that first captured the nation’s attention months ago.
Hunt’s family says the relationship was consensual, with their lawyer claiming authorities wouldn’t have gone after her if it had involved a male and a female instead of two teenage girls.
Exactly why should we give a damn what this criminal pervert, her raunchy parents and their worthless lawyer say about the case?
Arguments made by the World’s Worst Lawyer™ Julia Graves in her statement today demonized the family of Kaitlyn Hunt’s victim:
“[The younger girl is] taken to a church that labels being gay a sin, has the Bible thrown at her, all of her thing in her room boxed up and taken from her, is apparently hit by her parents, and clearly yelled at for lying by her father in the presence of Detective Shepherd at the school in a subsequent interview.”
This has been the Hunt family’s strategy from Day One — blame the victim and her family. In her May 17 Facebook post, Kaitlyn’s mother Kelley Hunt Smith named the victim’s parents nine times and smeared them as being “full of hate and bigotry.” And the post by Kaitlyn’s lawyer, alleging abuse by the parents of the victim, seems to have been a signal for Kaitlyn’s supporters to attack:
Perhaps you thought it was rhetorical overkill when I called Kaitlyn’s supporters “amoral scum with no sense of shame,” but do you see the twisted worldview of these people? Do you see how they admire everything despicable and despise everything admirable?
The family that raises a tattoo-covered foul-mouthed hoodlum (“Beat her f–king ass, Emily! Beat her ass! Get that bitch!”) are a family that has love “in abundance.” No one can be judgmental toward the parents who let Kaitlyn bring a runaway 14-year-old to their house for a lesbian sex romp where they “put their fingers inside of each other’s vaginas, put their mouths on each other’s vaginas, and both of them used a vibrator on each other to insert it in each other’s vaginas.” That’s perfectly OK and it would be wrong to call such a family “creepy” or something.
No, there is nothing remotely suspicious about a father like Steven R. Hunt Jr. (Booking #2012-00001721) and everyone must praise a mother like Kelley Hunt Smith who sends text messages telling her daughter’s victim to “delete EVERYTHING.”
Instead, according to the “Free Kate” crowd, what needs to be investigated — the family that should be condemned for “abuse” and accused of having “zero good intentions” — are the parents who objected to their 14-year-old daughter getting dildoed by Steve and Kelley’s perverted criminal offspring. You know, the one who likes to send masturbation videos of herself to minors?
That’s the way people think, see, if they’re the kind of amoral scum with no sense of shame who support “Free Kate.”
Do I hate these scum too much? No.
It’s impossible to hate them as much as they deserve to be hated.
More #FreeKate Arguments: Want to Let Heather Wirth-Dalager Babysit Your Kids?
Posted on | August 21, 2013 | 143 Comments
Kaitlyn Hunt’s got a fever, and
jailbait poontang is the only cure!
That’s really the core of the “Free Kate” argument and, again, if you watched yesterday’s hearing where Kate’s bail was revoked, you understand this argument carries no weight in Florida courts. Kaitlyn Hunt is guilty and belongs in jail, and the fact that prosecutors were willing to offer her a plea deal — even after her violations of the no-contact order were discovered — ought to be understood as a humane effort to avoid a trial that would require that the underage victim be compelled to testify about their sordid and perverse relationship.
No sane or decent person ever supported the “Free Kate” movement, and only the most indecent and insane fanatics continue to support Kaitlyn Hunt now that her deviant criminality has been demonstrated by evidence that Judge Pegg called “overwhelming.”
“Free Kate” supporters are amoral scum with no sense of shame, nor do they have any respect for law or understanding of basic logic. Where only bad arguments are possible — because all the good arguments are for Kaitlyn Hunt’s conviction — one becomes accustomed to dishonest blame-shifting. Heather Wirth-Dalager:
This is a variation of an argument “Free Kate” supporters have made for the past three months: The problem is not that Kaitlyn Hunt broke the law; the problem is that somebody called the cops.
Really, it’s just Thug Logic: “Snitches get stitches.”
The argument from Heather Wirth-Dalager is a bit more nuanced than that, but boiled down to its essence, that’s it:
I am curious what the teacher who violated these teenage girls privacy by announcing this relationship to the younger girls parents, kicked Kate of the team, and facilitated Kate being expelled from school is thinking now? . . . .
(My guess: She’s probably thinking you need to improve your punctuation and syntax.)
Sounds like a strong discrimination suit against the school district and this teacher personally due to these girls sexual orientation!!
(That required two exclamation marks!!)
Regardless of this ludicrous law that doesn’t protect kids in this age group, punishing someone for that in and of itself is simply wrong. This isn’t just a case about same sex relationships, its discrimination and seems to hold some strong privacy violations as well, a doctor would be bound to privacy due to HIPPA Laws based on these girls ages, why does the school have the ability to release anything to the younger girls parents about Kate’s sexual orientation or about Kate at all? . . .
(Translation: “If a lesbian wants to play Spin the Dildo with your 14-year-old daughter, it is ‘discrimination’ and ‘privacy violations’ for anyone to tell you what’s going on, because ‘sexual orientation’ means that the law against having sex with 14-year-olds is ‘ludicrous.'” Does that argument make sense to you? If so, seek psychiatric help immediately.)
We need to remember these are CHILDREN even at 18 years old and still in high school, they do not carry the life experiences to understand ALL consequences of a relationship. . . .
(In case the double exclamation marks weren’t helping, now she’s going to CAPITALIZE random WORDS, and hope you don’t notice the inherent contradiction of her argument. Heather Wirth-Dalager thinks it’s OK for a 14-year-old to be having sex, and “ludicrous” that the law should forbid it. Yet at the same time, while she argues that minors deserve no legal protection against being sexually exploited by adults, she also argues that 18-year-olds are just children — CHILDREN — who are so naive they can’t be expected to understand consequences. Again, if her argument makes sense to you, seek psychiatric help immediately.)
These young girls will probably never trust an authority figure again in their lives and especially the younger girl who will have life long emotional damage from the actions of first the teacher/coach that they trusted, the school for punishing them for being individuals and their sexual orientation, her parents for trying to fore her out of a situation with someone she cared about, and then the law which is supposed to protect her and has grossly failed to do so.
Well, there you have it, eh? “Authentic frontier gibberish.”
Apparently, in Heather Wirth-Dalager’s demented mind, finger-sex in the school restroom toilet stall is just “being individuals.” Also, according to Heather Wirth-Dalager, running away from home to spend the night satisfying the lusts of a dildo-wielding pervert doesn’t cause nearly as much “emotional damage” for a 14-year-old as having her tattoo-covered lesbian partner get arrested for her crimes.
Because “sexual orientation” and “privacy,” you see.
Also, if you ever decide to record a video of yourself masturbating and want to send it to a 15-year-old girl, Heather Wirth-Dalager would be OK with that. You’re just “being individuals,” right?
Kaitlyn Hunt’s Lawyer, Having Failed Her Client, Now Scapegoats the Prosecution

Kaitlyn Hunt: Now she’s where guilty perverts belong.
Anyone who watched Tuesday’s hearing in the Kaitlyn Hunt case knows two things: “Free Kate” is guilty as hell, and her lawyer is an idiot.
Let’s admit that even a good lawyer would have difficulty representing a client as guilty as Kaitlyn Hunt. Bad cases require bad arguments, and if the guilty client insists on fighting the case all the way to trial, any attorney who accepts the fee is going to be obliged to look like an incompetent idiot from time to time. But read this statement issued by Kaitlyn Hunt’s lawyer today and see if you can spot a certain — what shall we call it? — ironic lack of self-awareness:
Translation: “My perverted client is guilty as hell, and it’s so unfair of prosecutors to keep pointing out what a guilty pervert she is!”
SHE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE PLEA BARGAIN!

I had already planned to take a long weekend when I heard about Americans for Prosperity’s Hands Off My Healthcare rally in Richmond.

It was a drizzly affair, with roughly 500 in attendance from all over the state. Speakers included Delegate Steve Landes, who dared to ask questions like “Aren’t we already broke?” and Dr. Clara Belle Wheeler, who did not exactly characterize the existing Medicaid program as an Oldsmobile Delmont 88 with submarine dreams, but certainly expressed misgivings:

OK, that was probably mean. I denounce myself. Here’s an excerpt from my report on today’s hearing that sent Kaitlyn Hunt to jail:
Accused sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt will remain jailed in Florida until she goes to trial after a judge declared the evidence “overwhelming” she had violated court orders not to have contact with the minor victim in her case.
Hunt was arrested in February on charges of having sex with a 14-year-old girl, a felony in Florida where the legal age of consent is 16, and had been ordered as a condition of her release on bond not to contact the younger girl.
An Indian River County Sheriff’s Office detective testified Tuesday that Hunt had repeatedly violated that order. And because the alleged violations included Hunt sending sexually explicit photos and videos to the victim, the 19-year-old former cheerleader has now been charged by prosecutors with another felony. . . .

UPDATE: Kaitlyn Hunt’s Bond Revoked; Evidence ‘Overwhelming,’ Judge Says
Posted on | August 20, 2013 | 386 Comments
Kaitlyn Hunt appears at Tuesday hearing.
UPDATE 3:10 p.m. ET: Elliot Jones reports at WPTV-TV:
Circuit Court Judge Robert Pegg revoked bond for Kaitlyn Hunt, and she’ll remain jailed until a trial, that’s so far unscheduled.
The judge also added a new charge to her court record — transmitting material harmful to a minor by electronic equipment, a third-degree felony.
“The evidence is overwhelming,” Pegg said in ordering Hunt held in jail without bail.
A tearful Kaitlyn Hunt, in a bright orange jail jumpsuit and shackles, periodically glanced at her father in the Indian River County courtroom, as Sheriff’s Detective Jeremy Sheppard testified about new evidence in her teen sex case having to do with being in contact with the victim via electronic equipment.
UPDATE 2:05 p.m. ET: Bond was revoked after Judge Robert Pegg described evidence of Kaitlyn Hunt’s violation of her pretrial release as “overwhelming.” An arraignment date was set for the new charges of transmitting “material harmful to minors,” and Hunt was escorted out of the courtroom and back to the Indian River County Jail.
UPDATE 1:50 p.m. ET: Kaitlyn Hunt was handcuffed and shackled and wearing an orange jail uniform when she appeared in court today, facing new felony charges of violating her bond and sending illegal graphic sex materials to her underage girlfriend.
Detective Jeremy Shepherd testified about the explicit photos and video Hunt sent to the minor, who is now 15. He said he was contacted on Aug. 6 after the younger girl’s father found an iPod that Hunt had given the victim in March. This was used to transmit more than 20,000 text messages, photos and video. Detective Shepherd said that while the explicit video that shows Hunt masturbating only shows the defendant from the waist down, he was able to identify her from her pierced bellybutton and tattoos.
Detective Jeremy Shepherd testifies at Tuesday’s hearing.
Judge Robert Pegg listens to testimony in Tuesday’s hearing.
UPDATE 12:55 p.m. ET: According to the court docket, prosecutors have filed a new felony charge of “Transmission of material harmful to minors to a minor by electronic device or equipment” (847.0138).
Kaitlyn Hunt has been reminded why they call it ‘jailbait’
Today is the bond revocation hearing in Vero Beach:
Accused Florida sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt returned to jail Monday night prior to a hearing today in which prosecutors will argue that her bond should be revoked and that the 19-year-old former cheerleader should be kept in custody until her trial on felony charges of having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Hunt, whose case has attracted nationwide media attention, voluntarily turned herself in at the Indian River County Jail about 9 p.m. Monday night. She had been out on $5,000 bond since her February arrest, but last week prosecutors filed a stunning document alleging that Hunt had repeatedly violated the court-ordered terms of her pretrial release by contacting the victim in the case, who is now 15.
Ron Barnett of Barnett Bail Bonds in Vero Beach told the Palm Beach Post that it was Hunt’s decision to return to jail pending today’s 1 p.m. hearing before Circuit Court Judge Robert Pegg. . . .
Please read the whole thing at ViralRead. I’ll be updating later with news of today’s hearing, which should be interesting.
What is also interesting — and thanks to Jeanette Runyon for all her work in following this — is how Kaitlyn Hunt’s supporters, in order to argue for their lesbian heroine’s victimhood, find themselves obliged to demonize the parents of the younger girl:
@rsmccain this is what happens when deviancy is normalized #freekate folks have no concept of normal pic.twitter.com/FjUvD3AeBU
— PuertoRicanCracker (@Jeanette_Runyon) August 20, 2013
@NASCARNAC @rsmccain more #FreeKate demoniztion of the victim and her family pic.twitter.com/bKR1fzc44g
— PuertoRicanCracker (@Jeanette_Runyon) August 20, 2013
In this, her supporters echo the arguments originally made in a May 17 Facebook post by Kaitlyn’s mother, Kelley Hunt Smith, who blamed the younger girl’s parents: “They are trying to send an innocent young girl to prison because they are full of hate and bigotry.”
Parents who are trying to raise their daughter right, and who expect Florida to enforce its own law — which sets age of consent at 16 — are being scapegoated by weirdos who want to make gay rights an argument to declare “open season” on 14-year-olds.
