His Fedora Still Travels

Posted on | April 11, 2010 | 15 Comments

NEW ORLEANS — As Smitty noted yesterday, Da Tech Guy continues his standing offer to travel anywhere to cover a story for $1,000 a week plus expenses. He was kind enough to extend the loan of his casual fedora — my favorite from the Scott Brown campaign we covered together — which has made several guest appearances here at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference.

Andrew Breitbart and the fedora.

Herman Cain and the fedora.

Please, help Da Tech Guy find the story that will allow him to travel as widely as his fedora has been traveling lately. Other assignments beckon me soon, but I sure wish y’all would send Da Tech Guy down to Savannah to cover the Ray McKinney campaign. It just so happens that the campaign has been making news lately, and Ray has two Republican primary opponents who might like to be interviewed by the founder of the Fedora Brotherhood.

I love the traveling fedora. BTW, is that an adult beverage in Andrew Breitbart’s hand?

That Mr. Breitbart is holding a red plastic 16-ounce cup is a neutral objective fact, a matter of public record. Contents of the cup can be neither confirmed nor denied, and speculation would be irresponsible and unethical.

Furthermore, we have no reports of Mr. Breitbart driving off a bridge and leaving a girl to die in a submerged Oldsmobile, and Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment.

    Next question?

I’d like to put an immediate halt to the vicious rumor that Herman Cain is actually holding RSM up!

The fact that his hair is slightly askew, his clothing disheveled, his eyes bloodshot and watery and there’s a distinct odor of intoxicants about his person, Stacy is still upright and under his own power!

Only the sober observation that real men know how to hold their liquor and not kill their dates with reckless driving.

And God forbid something bad happens, they can save their dates from drowning and be a man (rather than hiding in big daddy’s pocket).
