From Mecca to the Moon!

Astro-dhimmis:

[NASA chief Charles] Bolden created a firestorm after telling Al Jazeera last month that President Obama told him before he took the job that he wanted him to do three things: inspire children to learn math and science, expand international relationships and “perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science . . . and math and engineering.”

Not only are Muslims losing the space race, but Mel Brooks already beat me to the punchline:

You know, Mohammed did have a good point or two. Be wary of strong drink. It can make you shoot at tax collectors… and miss.

Political tags – such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth – are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know, the end result is tyranny and oppression no matter how holy the motives.

That was a missed opportunity today with the new NASA director. What he should have pointed out is when those Muslims in Mecca look up at the moon to figure out when Ramadan starts, just remember they are looking at a couple of American flags up there looing back at them.

    Never insult anyone by accident.

Don’t ever become a pessimist… a pessimist is correct oftener than an optimist, but an optimist has more fun, and neither can stop the march of events.

Space exploration is too important to be left to bueaucrats like Obama and his cronies. Time to privatize it and get on with the fun of exploration! When a place gets crowded enough to require ID’s, social collapse is not far away. It is time to go elsewhere. The best thing about space travel is that it made it possible to go elsewhere.

I keep hearing people whine about the fact that NASA is no longer going to get us “into Space”.

But private companies can do that little thing.

And now NASA’s primary mission is to make Muslims feel good about themselves?

OK. If you say so. But why we need a bloated bureaucracy to do things that private enterprise can already do escapes me. And they could hire people to make the Islamics feel better about themselves a lot cheaper, too.

But I’m a trogloconservative, so what would I know?

You go, Barry! They’ll love us much more because of you. Not.

    @Robert Heinlien #2:

You forgot the most important one.

“The planet Earth is far too small of a basket for the Human Race to keep all of it’s eggs in.”

It will be a very difficult for a Muslim to fly out into space.
But seriously, I am not a birther, but Obama just gives so much ammunition to the birthers that you really have to wonder.

That’s an impossible task for NASA. Muslims can never feel good about themselves. Islam is the Religion of Perpetual Outrage.
