9/12dc Video Short Takes: Tabitha, Tito, P.J.

by Smitty

Tabitha Hale at about 1:30 PM, cagily refusing to guess the attendance:

Tito ‘The Builder’ Munoz, legal immigrant and friend of this blog. Not to pick on the vaunted Barbie Cam (Stacy’s bubble-gum pink, metrosexual rig rumored to have been a gift from the goth twin Skippy), but the Panasonic just does a better job. Like a knob, I missed the first minute or two, but here is Tito’s rousing climax:

Finally, a classic P.J. O’Rourke line, suitable for most any occasion:

    Oh really?

I guess this is where we part’a ways’a Stacy and Smitty.

I don’t believe that ANY immigrant; espcially from Mexico — ought to be telling me, an American, whats’a a wrong’a with’a my Country.

We’re Americans, we’ll figure it out. We need need ol’ Taco boy there telling us how to do it.

Signed on the behalf of White Americans everywhere….

  2. Yes, really.
You had mentioned on a post about not spreading hate, sir?
If the shoe fits, but the salesman wasn’t born here, the shoe is at fault?
    Tut tut.

  3. @Smitty

You know what Pal? Have a nice Day.

I know this site is all about now.

    …and it ain’t for me.

I’ve been doing much thinking as of late about politics and whole bit.

I maybe many things; but a Neo-Con sellout, ain’t one of ’em.

I do not embrace Diversity, never have, never will.

    See ya bye.

  4. Further more, if being a part of the Beltway Blogger crowd means that I HAVE to be one of these “Go along to get along” types that have to sit and listen to some Mexican immigrant berate Americans over their Government — then count me among those who are not one of those people.

Nativism? Yeah, you could say that.

I’m writing a blog posting about this, and I will be linking.

I liked Stacy better when he was writing at Taki’s Magazine. This new McCain; quit frankly sucks.

If me saying that I am not accepting this tripe as just “okie dokie” makes me a racist. Then fine; just call me damned Bull Conner and get it over with.

Friend of this blog… what a damned sell-out!

  5. Pat, if I recall you got driven off of PW for similar positions. Did you buy the lies from CJ about Stacy? Dude, you need to realize that what matters more are culture and ideas, not national origin. Because a legal immigrant who embraces conservative views of free enterprise and liberty is an ally. You seem hung up on the wrong issue.

BTW, Columbia is not part of Mexico. You need to work on your geography Pat.

  6. I’m not sure the comments by Pat are really by Pat, but either way, I had to resist the temptation to delete them, for a couple of reasons:

    1. Why introduce such negativity in the comments on a post that is lighthearted and upbeat?

    2. Why distract ourselves from the serious and practical business at hand — i.e., Nov. 2 — with a divisive conflict over a controversial subject that is at best only indirectly related to that subject?

Effective coalition politics requires us, at times, to cooperate with people who don’t share all our beliefs. The Let’s All Agree 100% With Stacy McCain Party would be a party of one. Realizing that, I find that there are times when the most important thing I can do is to bite my tongue — or at least demur politely.

Mr. Adkins is aiming, rather inexpertly, as what has been termed “The Propositional Nation,” a sort of conservative adaptation of the old liberal Melting Pot concept of America as a “nation of immigrants.” There are serious problems with that concept — e.g., it fails to account for the durability of cultures and folkways, and ignores altogether the sovereignty of citizens in a (small-d) democratic government — but we cannot critique it effectively by being purposefully obnoxious toward those whom we wish to persuade.

  7. As the trackback above from Patrick’s site shows if you follow it, that was Pat making those comments.

This is not the first time he has insulted Stacy and Smitty with his childish ravings.

This is a place where many ideas get a hearing and I’ve enjoyed the lively discussions that our two gracious hosts have allowed, but Pat has shown himself to be a rank fool.

Pat: Good riddence to back rubbish, you cretin.

  8. Pat’s problem is that he’s making the reverse of the same mistakes the left makes. While the left’s assertion that all immigrants should be welcomed with open arms as well as open wallets is insupportable, Pat’s opposite assertion that there should no immigration as they are all parasites is equally incorrect. Some of the accusations Pat makes at his site should have been backed up with evidence. The nature of some of his charges are quite serious.

  9. “While the left’s assertion that all immigrants should be welcomed with open arms as well as open wallets…”

Umm, find me a quote by anybody on the Left that asserts this, lest you be flogged for lying like all Conservatives do.

And thanks for the ones who proved Pat to be Pat and not some lefty troll as some morons around here would find comforting to believe…
