Blago Gets 14 Years

Posted on | December 7, 2011 | 7 Comments

Somebody’s got to take the fall. It’s the Chicago Way:

Disgraced former Gov. Rod Blagojevich was sentenced Wednesday to 14 years in prison after he made a final plea for leniency, acknowledging his guilt and saying, “I am unbelievably sorry.”

So how is Blago “disgraced,” while Obama is still wonderful? How is it that Blago was prosecuted by a federal Justice Department headed by the “disgraced” Eric Holder?

The real travesty is in the next sentence of the article after the one quoted, “The sentence is the longest received by any Illinois governor and one of the longest for any politician in state history.” Illinois has a truly sorry history.

He’ll say he’s sorry and lie low, knowing he’ll get a last-minute full pardon from Obama at the end of next year. Obama’s coming pardons will make Clinton’s look carefully considered and honest.
    It’s the Chicago Way!

I read the whole dang article – 30+ graphs, most just a sentence or two – and came away wondering:  did this guy belong to a political party or organization and, if so, which one?

We got four years of Obama.  Unfortunately (for the country) that is far worse.
