‘Barack Hussein Obama: All Liquored Up & Trashing the Place’

Posted on | May 18, 2012 | 33 Comments

There are some things that Ace of Spades does so effortlessly as to make it seem utterly futile even to attempt to match him.

Mocking Obama is one of those things, and so I was happy to delegate the Obama-mocking share of the blogging load to Ace for a couple of days, while I piled in on convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin:

  1.  Is Democrat Operative Neal Rauhauser an ‘Associate’ of Convicted Terrorist Brett Kimberlin? (And Why It Matters)
  2.  Convicted Terrorist Brett Kimberlin Received $70,000 From Tides Foundation, $10,000 From Streisand, $20,000 from John Kerry’s Wife
  3. Who Warned Us About Brett Kimberlin?
  4. What It Feels Like to Be Targeted

Which added up to a few thousand words, so that my total blog output in the past 24 hours or so has been limited to exactly four posts on one topic. Now I’m feeling like (a) I need a nap, and (b) I need to get back to working on other stuff that readers expect me to blog about.

Far be it from me to say that Ace is just slackin’ off over there in the Moronosphere, but I’ve been waiting for him to throw down on Kimberlin ever since I saw Aaron Worthing’s post Thursday morning, and now might be a good time for him to do so. Just sayin’ . . .

So it would be a bad thing if any of our readers misinterpreted this post as a suggestion they should go hassle Ace of Spades on Twitter.

Look, Ace is scared, mmmkay?  He and AllahPundit are huddled together under a blanket, shivering in fright that Big Bad Brett might stomp his foot at them.

Didn’t you get the memo?  We’re not supposed to make fun of those nancy-boys anymore.  It’s bullying and Badthink.

You should send Ace a stuffed unicorn and some Rainbow Twizzlers to make him feel better.

Wow!….lol…Great headline suck!  It’s not exactly “Bombshell!  Boris Badenov memoir admits Obama tryst while both were working for the KGB”….but dammit you made me click on it.  Great investigative reporting on Kimberlin by the way.  Keep doing what you’re doing.

Love the headline!  Makes Obama seem like a REAL human being!

For the record, I have little doubt that Ace will be saying something about all of this soon.  And I won’t say more beyond that.

Btw, thanks to everyone for their support and promotion.

Ace of Spades.  The guy who broke the Great Alaskan Milk scandal during an all-day twitter rant in the middle of an inconsequential election campaign.

Hey, I follow @Boris_Badenoff on Twitter, and he has consistently denied that story.  Claims to be straight and loyal to Natasha!

You know, I kind of like reading Ace from links by Stacy.  I used to be a regular Moron, but got sick of the place during all of the PDS and anti-conservative crap that’s gone down there since last fall.  I tried visiting directly to see an ONT this week (just this very), sort of for old-times’ sake, and the PDS was on full display, all because Palin endorsed someone recently (I don’t know or care whom). It’s almost an AndrewSullivan-like obsession with some of them.

Ace himself is still great, but the squishy, Hot-Air-iness of the place is stifling.  I’d rather hang out here and at Scoop’s.  Even when drinking.  Heck, even when sober.

Ha!  Hell yes he denies it.  Natasha is a Boris and a half taller than him and armed comrade.  The upcoming expose will tell the tale.

“Hey Rocky, watch me pull Obama outta my…….”

    Ok,……..going the corner now…..looking ashamed.

Yeah, I got annoyed with Ace when he went on his anti-Santorum tirade, but he actually backed off a lot in the latter days of the primary.  The morons, on the other hand, were barely tolerable.

Seems to me the way to put an end to this crap – besides what is being done publicizing these miscreants’ behavior to give their donors second thoughts – is for someone to sue their organizations.  They personally probably don’t have anything worth attaching with a judgement, but it could put a hard clamp on the group’s money.

Ace should be all over this, the BU crew has targeted him and his blog in a long post. As for Mr. Kimberlin and his acolytes, I value my posting privileges here too much to say what I really think should happen to them. Readers should use their imaginations.

  16. K-Bob
    May 19th, 2012 @ 5:54 am

That’s my feeling, too.  Ace brings 10% of the annoying stuff, and the Morons (not all of them, obviously) amplify it beyond my tolerance.

And I’m not even a conservative, so my tolerance is damned high compared to your typical, Tea Party patriot types.

  17. Adjoran
    May 19th, 2012 @ 6:29 am

They’ve got some very funny morons in the comments, but there are indeed way too many annoying ones.  And they basically treat every post as an open thread, so I rarely even try to read all the comments, just drop mine at the end from time to time.

But Breitbart read the comments there!  So go figure . . .

I still check Ace at least a few times every day.  Don’t always agree with him, but he brings the right attitude.

After slogging through a lot of the material about this terrorist I’d say you are correct.  Until tort reform actually happens, the only recourse is to abuse the system back the other way.  Some would probably say that’s what our “antagonistic” system is designed for: the lawyer who pushes the envelope the furthest wins.

In reply not only to K-Bob, but to all anti-Ace sentiment expressed here in the comments: LEAVE THE EWOK ALONE!

If Ace needs a Chris Crocker video rant in his defense, I’ll be more than willing to provide it. Ace’s general fuck-everything-I’ll-write-some-funny-motherfucking-shit-on-the-Internet attitude is one of the reasons I’m here having fun on the Innerwebz, and not still toiling away as a mid-level journalistic functionaire someplace.

Ace’s success was inspirational to me and, while the man and his Morons may have some faults — Rick Fucking Perry? whose lameass idea was it to herd the Morons onto that doomed bandwagon? — I’m not exactly such a paragon of rectitude as to be qualified to throw stones at the AOSHQ Gang, even if it were not for the debt of obligation I owe for all the shtick I’ve swiped from Ace over the years.

On the one hand, when Ace & Co. LLC are wrong about something, it’s perfectly acceptable to say that they are wrong. On the other hand, the conservative blogosphere is a collaborative enterprise, and I don’t want the comments here to turn into a childish thing: “Oh, we hate that stinky Ace and all of his ugly commenters, too!”

Also: Ace occasionally links here and throws a shitload of valuable traffic, which is kinda important.

Furthermore: I don’t like to play “hall monitor” in the comments. Paying too much attention to his commenters was, I believe, what drove Charles Johnson off the deep end. Nobody’s brandishing a ban-hammer or anything — although Wombat’s always ready to smash a troll if one dares to show up here — and I don’t ever want to switch to a “membership” type deal on the comments, either. So excuse this rare hall-monitor intrusion into the otherwise freewheeling comment space.

Finally: Have y’all hit the tip-jar lately? Because that would be kinda cool. Just sayin’ …

As a point of scientifically established fact – the science is clearly settled – CJ did not go psycho by comment obsession.  It was the long-term effect of sniffing his own bicycle seat.

Kids:  no matter how “cool” it may seem, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

I know for a fact that Ace has been hard at work on his own exhaustive Kimberlin-stomping post, however:

    A. Ace’s task is complicated by his own status as a target of harassment; and
    B. This really is a tangled-up mess of a story that is hard to boil down into something that doesn’t sound like just Another Stupid Internet Blogwar Thing.

My own acknowledged skill as The Greatest Living Master of English-Language Prose has been severely tasked by the effort required here. As a matter of fact, I am now 1,200 words into an extensively-documented new follow-up post I’ve been working on for four hours.

So let’s cut the Ewok some slack, OK? I’m sure it must be hard for Ace to write coherently after a long night of murdering hobos, screwing Latino transvestite hookers and swilling that wretched Valu-Rite Vodka.

For the first time since March 18 I have been able to see something other than the dreaded “Access Forbidden” screen at Ace’s place. Either somebody slipped up when they updated their comment software recently or I am no longer banned. (I never even commented at Ace of Spades HQ, just went there for the comic relief). Hopefully, I will continue being able to read there.

Indeed.  It took me some sleep, a bit of morning coffee, and a Vicodin before I could comment the next day on what you had reported on Thursday.  This is a tangled story and I don’t evny any reporter trying to distill it.  Even Dan’s good summary of what Mr. Worthing wrote was not complete, leaving out some key bits, but it’s good over-all and I applaud him for getting off his mind’s arse and attempting it.

  28. PaulLemmen

Yup. I was being facetious as until today, all I ever saw at Ace’s place was “Access Forbidden”.

  29. Bob Belvedere

Mr. Worthing and his wife would need a lawyer willing to do this with the expectation that it will end up as pro bono – they are, I’m sure, wise enough to not represent themselves.

How about Jay Sejulow’s organization: the American Center for Law and Justice-ACLJ?

Oh for Pete’s sake. Yeah, I did once. Back when PayPal actually worked. (There are WP plugins that enable multiple payment gateways. Yeah, it’s work, but you grease the skids that funnel money toward you, and rough up the ones that tear it away. AND you put some swag in there, and sell your own books, too. More hucksterism and cheap thrills, please. OBVIOUS: Amazon link to The Fedora.) But hey, I’ll go one more time to the PayPal portal and see if they have fixed it.

And I’m always fair to Ace. I just got tired of the anti-conservative vibe that lodged in there. His writing is still enjoyable, and worthy of remark. My point was that I ain’t gonna hang there, for the reasons given. But if you want that as policy here, that’s fine by me.
