‘. . .twice on the pipe, if the answer is bloh-owe.’

Mental Recession points to the story of the day, the new Richard Miniter book article in the DC Caller (Google malware alert?) about Verlerie Jarrett canceling the bin Laden raid in an elaborate Tony Orlando and Dawn reference that seems to be escaping a lot of folks.

Not to go too far on a limb defending #OccupyResoluteDesk, but the DC Caller mentions that:

Miniter, a two-time New York Times best-selling author, cites an unnamed source with Joint Special Operations Command who had direct knowledge of the operation and its planning.

Military guys talk a lot of trash (e.g. this post title). Authors like a juicy tidbit to sell books. Maybe it went down like that; maybe it didn’t. Perhaps if the finger pointer was willing to go on record by name, and not point a fickle finger via an author, I might ascribe more weight to it.

If you see a warning, it IS safe to “proceed anyway” to @DailyCaller. We are waiting on @Google to crawl the site again to clear the warning— The Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) July 30, 2012

What is with getting moderated if one edits a comment more than 2 times?

Why is that a security feature? The last time this happened, I never saw my comment again.

The idea that Obama (a “non-anglo-saxon”, Non-republican) could accomplish something as significant to national security is an.. outrage… an must not stand!  This is the reason for this diluted attack at this time on this particular subject.  Its really is no difference then their approach to climate change.  Make stuff up that disputes the results and then hang your hat on it.

Obama “accomplished” this based on intelligence provided by “cruel” interrogation techniques engaged in by the Bush administration, which Obama decried.  Further, the killing of Osama was accomplished by the military, not by Obama himself.  Even in reports by leftist media, it took him HOURS to make the “gutsy” call that any other American would’ve made in about two seconds.  Which begs the question: why’d it take him so long to make the call?  Maybe because he didn’t want to do it?  Maybe because a very trusted adviser (Jarret’s described as being of one mind with Obama) was telling him not to go through with it?

And, I dunno about you, but it seems to me like maybe if we’d captured Osama instead of killing him, we might’ve gotten some valuable intel.  So if I’d been the C-in-C, I might’ve made the call to capture if possible, kill if necessary.  There’s been no indication that capturing Osama was ever on the table for Obama.  Which causes one to ask another question: why not?

Face it: in his miserable term thus far, the Osama kill has been the only success; thus the left’s desire to play it for all it’s worth.

    Pathetic.

BTW, Carter was on par with Obama in the battle for worst president in modern memory.  And, last I checked, Carter isn’t black… So maybe people have a problem with Obama because of his sucktastic policies, rather than his skin color.
