Sneaky Tea Party Extremists!

Posted on | December 31, 2012 | 24 Comments

The latest news from Manhattan rural Oklahoma shows the danger posed by Harvard graduates racist hillbillies joining Occupy Wall Street Tea Party extremists and engaging in violent terrorism:

The privileged daughter of a prominent city doctor, and her boyfriend — a Harvard grad and Occupy Wall Street activist — have been busted for allegedly having a cache of weapons and a bombmaking explosive in their Greenwich Village apartment.
Morgan Gliedman — who is nine-months pregnant — and her baby daddy, Aaron Greene, 31, also had instructions on making bombs, including a stack of papers with a cover sheet titled, “The Terrorist Encyclopedia,’’ sources told The Post yesterday.
People who know Greene say his political views are “extreme,” the sources said.
Cops found the stash in the couple’s West Ninth Street home Saturday when they went there to look for Gliedman, 27, who was wanted for alleged credit-card theft.
A detective discovered a plastic container with seven grams of a white chemical powder called HMTD, which is so powerful, cops evacuated several nearby buildings.
Police also found a flare launcher, which is a commercial replica of a grenade launcher; a modified 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun; ammo; and nine high-capacity rifle magazines, the sources said.

Sounds like these Harvard graduates Oklahoma trailer trash were planning real trouble. Imagine how angry liberals would be if Naomi Wolf Pat Buchanan was defending the “civil rights” of these terrorists.

Didn’t think it would take you long to pick up on this one. As any grownup knows, the numerous and largely autocephalous “Tea Party” groups are about law and order. They want a government of laws and not men.

The “occupy” movement, by its very name, is about theft. It wants to “occupy” “spaces” (a progressive, left-academic term designed precisely to disguise the very concept of ownership) that belong to others. In its heyday, it “occupied” lots of private restaurants and demanded to be fed. More than one “activist” occupied the body of an unconsenting other. Its entire ethos was always terroristic. There is no other reason for a large, unruly group to loiter in public than to proclaim an implicit threat of force.

Thus, there is nothing surprising about this story except that it is one of the first, and that it survived the leftist official media filters long enough to see the light of day. Presumably it will now be subjected to the same treatment as the David Gregory story; i.e., grand media wizards will proclaim it a non-story on the grounds of — let’s guess: ineptitude of the terrorists? Like Gregory, perhaps it should have been obvious that these two would not succeed in committing a crime? Who knows how absurd the excuses will be, but the excuses will come.

These people have no shame. They have smelled victory and they believe themselves to be unaccountable. They may be right.

Naomi Wolf’s piece isn’t journalism. It’s Occupy propaganda. How else to explain the skewed reality she paints here, in which banks and other private-sector entities are in a conspiracy with law enforcement. Normal people call that “wanting to protect your property and assets.”

While I’m glad to see the Occupy thugs being treated as the (confirmed) criminals and (probable) terrorists they are, I must point out, this network can monitor any group deemed subversive. And words tend to have fluid meanings these days.

For example, do a search for “tea party extremists”. This being, I believe, one point Stacy is making.

That said, Naomi Wolf is whining about her side being held accountable. This is a rare event for lefties these days, what with President Zero Occupying the White House. So I’m with Bert — “They have smelled victory and they believe themselves to be unaccountable. They may be right.”

PS: HMTD is nasty stuff — it’s the explosive of choice for terrorists lacking reliable access to more stable explosives. Unless this pair was completely incompetent, they were preparing to use it in the near future.

I won’t go into the whys and wherefores of this in a public forum. I will merely point out I’m hoping they weren’t part of any (until now) unknown network.

She’s whining like any other petulant child. If the Occupy crowd didn’t have the (potential) capability to screw with this country, I’d laugh.

If they weren’t going to use it soon, then they could have gotten a nasty surprise themselves. It doesn’t store well. They’re fortunate they didn’t kill themselves making the stuff.

    Damn well put.

And methinks you’re quite right about how this story will be handled and, more importantly, how well-developed is these Leftists’s animal sense of smell.

I take a grand satisfaction in knowing that she will be one of the first to be put up against the adobe walls if the Revolutionaries succeed.

Don’t worry, Stacy, once they get out of jail they have a brilliant future ahead of them mentoring a dark horse Presidential hopeful…

    “flare launcher, shotgun, ammo, high-capacity
rifle magazines, bomb components…” sounds like a typical Tuesday at Bill Ayers’ place!

I say let the Occupy Crowd have their cities. They may find the reception a little more…judgmental, if they venture farther out.

It’s amazing. It seems the left assumes that because their own protest movements invariably spawn terrorists (let’s call a spade a spade here), right wing ones are the same.

    The radical chic strikes again.

No kidding! No wonder they could afford to devote time to all that “Occupy” nonsense.

The Left has absolutely no clue who and what we are.

They shouldn’t worry about “right wing” terrorists. By it’s very nature right wing movements do not spawn terrorists. What they need to worry about is when enough of us say “Enough!” and we stand to. They’ll have plenty to worry about when they start to hunt Progies with extreme prejudice. If it weren’t for the civil war that’s in it, I’d almost enjoy the activity.

If their purpose isn’t to foment a civil war, then they’re dumber than I thought.
