  1. Alternate Caption – “Windmills Feed the Hungry” …[if you can get the “windkill” on the grill fast enough].

  2. I can’t remember where, but I recently read an article which stated the energy cost of manufacturing windmills isn’t even recouped during their expected lifespan. The topic was a government subsidy to replace windmills which had worn out.

So not only are they knocking out endangered (and non-endangered) birds out of the sky, they don’t even break even on energy.

  3. The Cthulhu reference does two things:
    (a) announce that this is a gag post.
    (b) allude to ultimate evil in a fictional way, so that we can avoid reference to The Deuce.

  4. That does it. This blog gets removed from my bookmarks now. RSM is one of the most dishonest bloggers on the internet. He can’t be bothered to tell the truth about a story if he can embellish it to make it sexier. McCain, you give conservative bloggers a bad name.

Now for the truth. That bird is not even remotely endangered. It ranges from Siberia, China and Japan to Australia, in huge flocks.

The bird that died was “rare” for that area because it was totally out of its normal range.

  5. Heh! You need to look at who posted this one. Smitty is being facetious. Hyperbole is often used to ridicule, and ridicule is quite appropriate here.

  6. Because green energy can kill birds.
Because green energy isn’t viable yet.
Because Obama green energy crony money laundering scams are taking money from research and development of viable green energy.
