Why Does Ezra Klein Hate Gays?

Posted on | March 14, 2014 | 91 Comments

It’s a silly question, but his fellow liberals are trying to tell Klein he can’t hire who he wants at Vox.com:

hires Falwell-loving gay-bashing “gay”

Since when did having the “correct” opinion about homosexuality become a necessary qualification for a reporter?

Why Does Ezra Klein Hate Gays?

Same reason why Stacy hates porn stars.

It won’t be long until your average job interview requires you to embrace homosexuality as a personal ‘skill.’

Since Barack Obama’s election evolution of course.

The former beat reporter for The Washington Times asked:

Since when did having the “correct” opinion about homosexuality become a necessary qualification for a reporter?

This was a rhetorical question, right?

I thought that was when you started to hate Blacks. Oh well…i get it your hatred needs the whole package; gays, women, muslims, atheists etc all included.

I would say so, but you never know with RSM. I denounce him for even asking the question. Just as a precaution, of course.

Leftist wingnuts gotta H8. It’s in your political genes. Ya just can’t help yerself.

  11. Quartermaster
    March 14th, 2014 @ 7:13 am

Perhaps, but the H8 is nothing like yours for rationality.
I guess security at your asylum has broken down again.

    March 14th, 2014 @ 7:38 am

Yep. This was the only comment of Anamika’s that I can recall that actually made any sense, though presumably that was unintentional.

In other words, neither Klein nor McCain hate their supposed targets. The hate is all in the leftist beholder’s imagination.

  13. rmnixondeceased
    March 14th, 2014 @ 7:44 am

They always see distaste for something as hate because they only understand hate. Their world in starkly black and white ignoring all the possible shades of grey that a thinking person sees …

  14. rmnixondeceased

Project much? Oh, sorry, I had forgotten that you are nothing but a projection of the liberal mindset …

I don’t hate rationality QM, I don’t even hate your irrationality.

  17. Anamika
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:03 am

    …though presumably that was unintentional.

No it wasn’t. I just thought that comparison helps reflect. I wasn’t judging RSM in any manner. You say, McCain doesn’t hate his targets…I would rather hear it said from McCain’s mouth itself.

  18. Dana
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:06 am

Well, of course you’re right, and I will denounce him,, too!

  19. Dana
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:07 am

Uhhh, could you define “embrac(ing) homosexuality as a personal ‘skill'”? There are just so many ways in which that could be taken.

  20. Dana
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:09 am

Oddly enough, I seem to recall a time when journalists were not supposed to have opinions which one could discern from their reports. Perhaps I imagined it?

  21. Anamika
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:12 am

Lets say hate is a too strong of word for McCain’s views of his recent targets like Bret Kimberlin and Belle Knox, so what’s the word to describe his feelings towards them(or their views/actions); distaste, disapproval, disgust…what? Everyone hates something or someone, there’s nothing wrong with that. It cuts beyond the liberal/conservative line. Just be a man enough to own up.

  22. Anamika
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:28 am

I take it that gays (and their sinful acts) are absolutely not hated by religious conservatives. Its not hate, its only distaste (in gay sex)! They don’t target them at all. But if some of them do, they do it out of compassion only to pray the gay away.

  23. scarymatt
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:28 am

RSM has said it. And nothing in this post implies that RSM thinks Klein hates anyone.

  24. scarymatt
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:32 am

Shouldn’t we hate sinful acts? I’m sure some Christians end up hating the sinners (lets’ discount nutjobs like the Westboro folks). We’re all fallible. Some of them do other wrong things, like steal or murder.

Only someone really stupid (or trying to be) would come to a conclusion the way you did. Don’t be stupid.

Hey Anamika: We all judge. Lefties and Liberals most of all.

  27. Anamika
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:52 am

Point you don’t seem to catch is, RSM mayn’t hate porn stars either; he just hates/”hates” his target, Belle Knox. That’s an important distinction.

  31. scarymatt
    March 14th, 2014 @ 8:56 am

No, it’s another imaginary hatred that you created, just like the linked numskulls criticizing Klein.

If you read what he wrote instead of projecting the way you feel onto others, you’d probably notice this.

  32. Anamika
    March 14th, 2014 @ 9:01 am

Its been a while–was occupied with work and other things–but I have been visiting ToM from time to time and reading, so I haven’t really missed you all.

That was the theory during the mid-20th Century Consesus, but for much of history, newspapers have had an explicit slant.

The Catechism takes the obvious distinction between homosexuals and homosexual activity, noting that the condition is something which cannot be helped but the activity is sinful. Homosexuals are called to chastity.

A reporter necessarily holds opinions about the persons and controversies he covers. Regardless of this, he is employed not because his opinions are the “correct” ones, but because of his skill in reporting facts.

H8, however, is not too strong a word to use on lefty wingnuts like yourself.
Why should I admit to a hate I don’t possess. You lefties are like thieves who think everyone else is a thief because they are and would be too if they were in the other’s shoes.
You lefty wingnuts are full of hate for anything that does not agree with your depravity.

I’m guessing one of two things,
    1. Security broke down at her asylum.
    2. The staff let her out for a bit so they could have a rest. If you had to work with such depraved insanity it would wear on you too.

  45. Quartermaster

They teach arts and crafts at her asylum. That’s hard work for a person with such serious mental impairment.

Really, how pathetic are these people? This is at the top of the Slate article: Expanding the LGBTQ Conversation.

Guess what? No comments. Yeah. That’ll expand the conversation, won’t it.

    Cowards.

Oh yes, here’s that Slate hipster homo:

By the way, the point of these 3 articles is basically:
If you don’t hate straight people, you must hate gays.

    Get it?
