Shut Up and Resign Already

Few things I hate worse than a Republican politician who screws around like a Democrat politician:

Rep. Vance McAllister (R-La.) asked for forgiveness Monday afternoon after a video purporting to show the congressman kissing a female staffer in his congressional office in Louisiana surfaced.
McAllister, who was just elected in a November special election, has been married for 16 years and has five children.
“There’s no doubt I’ve fallen short and I’m asking for forgiveness. I’m asking for forgiveness from God, my wife, my kids, my staff, and my constituents who elected me to serve,” he said in a statement issued from his office. “Trust is something I know has to be earned whether you’re a husband, a father, or a congressman. I promise to do everything I can to earn back the trust of everyone I’ve disappointed.”

(Shut up with the promises and apologies. Resign.)

The video, published by The Ouachita Citizen, shows grainy security camera footage of a man and a woman appearing to embrace in a dark office before walking out of a building together.
The news outlet identified the two people in the video as McAllister and his district scheduler, Melissa A. Peacock, on Dec. 23, 2013 — a month after the congressman was first sworn into office. The newspaper said it obtained the video from an anonymous source.
Records show Peacock was a part-time staffer at the time.

A part-time district scheduler? Dude, if a congressman is making out with a part-time district scheduler, you know he’s gotta be banging Hill staffers two at a time. It’s probably just a. matter of time before we start getting more headlines: “Vance McAllister dirty texting,” “Vance McAllister nude selfies” and “Vance McAllister sex video.”

It’s time for Rep. Cheater McHorndog to pack it in, go back to Louisiana and “spend more time with his family.” Good-bye.

Wow Stacy, that was awesomely brutal. Loved it!

Louisiana forgave Vitter for the same sin. It’s a state that is trying to get Edwin Edwards a full pardon so he can be re-elected governor. That said, Monroe is part of the Christian north Louisiana, so McAllister will have to head to Baton Rouge or NO for political redemption.

Amen, Stacy. It’s not like being a pol is a job requiring such rare skills and intellect that we have to accept the morally repugnant as our elected representatives. We need integrity more than we need any particular individual. McAllister can ‘accept responsibility’ by accepting the consequences of his action, starting with his withdrawal from public life.

Oh for crying out loud. Seriously, I had better impulse control when I first discovered Sex to Sexty cartoon digests at the age of 15.

I guess we have to sic PI’s on all our candidates who seek public office from now on.

In congress for five months and he’s already groping the help. With Edwin Edwards running for an open seat Louisiana has a lot to be proud of. Throw in whore lover David Vitter and you have the trifecta of sleaze. Obama, Harry Reid, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Lindsey Graham, Elijah Cummings (I could do this all day). I don’t see how our government could sink any lower.

What an outmoded concept. I believe this whole I Accept Full Responsibility (but I’m not going anywhere) started with Janet Reno. And all she did was burn 80 men, women and children to death.

But she burned them in order to save the children. So it was all good.

The predatory, serially exploiting and abusing male in power syndrome is not just a problem in politics but across the board throughout society. School-teachers, religious leaders, corporate heads, celebrities, all the classes of male “leaders” have their share of abusers.

Oh, he might not be banging Hill staffers two at a time. If he’s got five kids, he’s kept pretty busy at home, so he might only have time for one mistress at a time.

What he needs to do is to finish his current term, but not run for re-election in November.

“…five months and he’s already groping the help” suggests he was behaving badly before going to DC, yet the voters sent him anyway. Together with

Edwards and Vitter, the people of Louisiana seem to want sleaze. Elected leaders reflect the values of the people.

Rave on Anamika! From the article it appears the woman was anything but “abused.” There are women out there that as much sexual predators as any man.

But, that doesn’t fit your idiotic feminazi narrative.

You know, I’d be surprised if many politicians don’t have far more discreet misstresses on staff. But then, here’s my cynicism showing through.

From a purely cold, and cynical perspective, I think some politicians are just stupid enough to get involved with mistresses who are not smart enough to realize they are only mistresses.
