Good heavens. I’ve been doing book posts since May of 2013. So many books, plus a few videogames, movies, and a Weird Al album.

    Many years ago David Drake and Karl Edward Wagner wrote Killer, which takes place in the days of the Roman Empire. It is about an ex-gladiator chasing after an escaped odd beast slated for the Circus Maximus and ends up on the trail on an alien which may destroy the world. A really well-done story and a great idea.

    Don’t worry, tax season will be here in just 25 days. Then there won’t be much in the way of free time until April 17. I’d say April 16, but I expect to be sleeping most of that day after working straight through from April 1-15. We don’t call it the death march for nothing.

    Drake revisited the idea in Birds of Prey somewhat later, but I think Killer was better.

    It’s hot in OZ during Christmas time. That wombat should be in a Christmas-themed Hawaiian shirt or sunnik.
