Obama will first attend a fundraising dinner, for $30,800 per plate, at the new restaurant Red Rooster. . . . The restaurant . . . is located at 310 Lenox Avenue. Tonight’s event is said to raise $1.5 million for Obama’s campaign.

Bryan Preston at PJ Tatler points out that while the Leader of the Free World will be shmoozing deep-pocket campaign contributors in Manhattan, Joe Biden will be relaxing in Aspen.

Like the man says: The country’s in the very best of hands!
