Question 9 — “Some other race” — “American”

Mark Krikorian offers a perfectly legal, sensible, and proper means of answering the Census Bureau’s race question. Say you’re American, if that is what you are.

Racism* is DNA-based decision making. We must oppose it, and also the data gathering that supports and perpetuates it.

*Sexism, too.

Sure, why not, my family has been here since before the founding. I guess that’s as close to non-hyphenated American you can get.

Why don’t we just answer the way we always should have answered the question of race and write in – human.

I was all set for question #9 with an answer of “American” or “Human”, but what about question #8? They want to know if I’m Hispanic!! It’s none of their business! What should I answer?

Mr. Johnson, how in the world can one say that by objecting to the government defining human beings by race, is “racist”? That’s just nutty.
