Of Course The Democrats Wouldn’t Lie About A Memo About CBO ‘Estimate’

The CBO comes out with a preliminary estimate. This blog has obtained a conceptual view of the inner workings of the CBO’s toil:
The Democrats then took this explicitly labeled preliminary estimate, written about a jello-to-the-wall piece of legislation of un-Presidented complexity, and treated that estimate like gospel.
Now, a memo surfaced today claiming to be from the Democrats, with a detailed exposition about how to avoid talking about yesterday’s shenanigans, from Power Line:

Democrats are disputing the memo’s authenticity. That will give media outlets cover if they decline to report on it, at least until Sunday.

How does Power Line come by all this cynicism? Just because they’re

  • wrecking the Constitution,
  • being devious about the character of the CBO estimate, and
  • generally turning a tone-deaf ear to the will of the people

doesn’t mean the Democrats would put out a memo instructing people how to evade discussions of the CBO estimate.
We’ve simply got to have some faith in the majority party, people.

Worst. Congress. Ever.
