    You know I talked to a soldier who served under Patton and met him during the war recently.

    Because the man was a gentleman he expressed himself without profanity, but he thought that he was much too cavalier with the lives of this troops. He understood the idea of taking objectives and didn’t begrudge him that but saw moves that suggested too high a premium on glory.

    One certainly can’t argue with success but he was there risking his neck and I wasn’t.

    McCrystal voted for Obama…He admitted as much. Screw him. He should have known better.

    I agree with what McChrystal said, but that doesn’t mean Obama is not within his rights to fire him. Still, I would prefer whatever solution is found, that it leads to what is truly best for the mission.

    Unfortunately Obama mouthing that does not fill me with a lot of hope.
