Dan Collins Is an Evil Right-Wing Islamophobic Neocon Hatemonger

Posted on | August 20, 2010 | 34 Comments

Really, it’s a miracle he doesn’t have his own syndicated talk-radio show and a primetime slot on Fox News:

At least AP journalists are able to refer to it as a mosque, though I’ve been challenged on those grounds as well, by sympathizers who feel that they can defuse the issue by characterizing it instead as a cultural center. As Jim Treacher points out, that tends to weaken the argument that this is about religious liberties, of which many leftists are suddenly advocates. The best argument that it is a mosque is probably that that’s the way the Cordoba Initiative refers to it. That’s not to mention that on three occasions the State Department has paid for Imam Rauf to travel on their dime to fund raise abroad . . .

Read the whole thing. It’s only a matter of time before the Southern Poverty Law Center, Media Matters and Little Green Footballs join forces to create DanCollinsWatch.com, just to keep an eye on that notorious fomenter of dangerous extremism.

In other news, Ann Coulter sent somebody an e-mail.

Dan Collins wrote an excellent post on remembering 9-11. I am indebted to him for embedding my video with the piece.

It is an honor to join him in standing guard over liberty.

“I’ve been challenged on those grounds as well, by sympathizers who feel that they can defuse the issue by characterizing it instead as a cultural center. ”
Ahh, what a novel approach: calling it what it is( a cultural center) is a “characterization”. Yes! Of course!
Collins isn’t being challenged on any grounds, seeing as he seems to have been born challenged.
“that tends to weaken the argument that this is about religious liberties, of which many leftists are suddenly advocates.”
On the contrary, it’s a religious cultural center.Meaning it is still protected by the Constitution. Not that Collins would care to make that distinction, lest he expose his argument to his own stupidity.

Kujo, I didn’t call you uneducated. I don’t have to. Your posts do that all by themselves.
Why not call out Saudi Arabia? I don’t know, maybe because we’re not arguing about Saudi Arabia and we’re arguing about more important issues like America. If I lived in Saudi Arabia I’d be kvetching about the situation there.
    And your point…misses the mark!
Nice try, though. You’ll get ’em next time, tiger.

I waiting for the next manufactured outrage about 911.

What? Everyone should (as all decent private American citizens would) voluntarily observe the whole of September–not just 9/11!–as a national month of mourning?! Or at least the days 9/9, 9/10 and 9/12, 9/13, they are so close to 9/11 you see?. They are only two days close!

Lets put forth an historical amendment to change the numbers on the Gregorian calender in the US to calls these 4 proximity days 9/11 too in honor of the victims! And everyone should have a non-non-pay leave! We can celebrate these days with rallies, mosque opostions and what not!
