Arianna Huffington: Please Retain Your Bogus Interpretation

On ABC, “This Week With Christiane Amanpour”:

“Dick Armey is making the mistake that a lot of people are going to make on Tuesday night, which is overinterpreting the results,” she said to anchor Christiane Amanpour and other guests on the roundtable this morning.

“This victory by Republicans, which I fully expect … does not mean that the nation is rejecting Democrats and affirming Republicans. It means they are rejecting the way our institutions are working, that they have deep mistrust of all establishments. That basically, our system has not worked for them,” Huffington said.

No, Arianna, no no no. We don’t have a deep mistrust of all establishments. For example, the Federalist system of checks and balances implemented in the 1787 Constitution, as amended, are acceptable.
Federal overreach in the Progressive Era is getting gunned down like a zombie. To the extent that the GOP understands the need for conservative, Constitutional principles, it is indeed being affirmed.
The whole Progressive scuttling of limited government in the favor of a stealth return to aristocracy (“The Kennedy Seat”) has become toast in the Information Age. Little groups of “experts” can no longer call the shots.
But, to the extent that your bogus grasp of the situation is disinformatzia to the Left, keep spewin’, Arianna. When Tuesdays crushing is extended in 2012, it is possible that a clue may find you.

Are the Democrats being rejected by the voters?

Oh, no no no no no. No, their appeal is just becoming… more selective.
