Dave? Dave?

No, sir, I’ve never heard of any such person as “Dave Bowles,” although I did once know a certain Maurice Bowles. But that fellow was a strapping young ROTC cadet, not some grizzled old retired lieutenant-colonel.

So if this “Dave” character tries to tell you any crazy stories about a long-haired dopehead guitar-banging rock-and-roller he knew in college, don’t believe a word of it.

And, by the way, Dave Maurice, you ought to update your blog more often.
