I hope to see vast amounts of our readership there. The schedule is up, so we can start planning how to be in seven places simultaneously.

     I never paid much attention to such gatherings until RedState and Ace of Spades started with them.  The AoS crowd had informal “meet-ups” in bars (only because bars are always required to meet fire safety standards, unlike the tent cities they usually frequent looking for sex partners and victims), while RedState had a big formal to-do and charged ample fees for the privilege of getting to see Erick Erickson live and in the flesh (oh, be still, my beating heart!).  It was then I began to wonder.

    Other than raising money for the sponsor, what does CPAC accomplish a weekend in Vegas could not?  What, in all these years, has come out of it that was lasting, worthwhile, and effective?

    Besides “forming new connections,” I mean.  Whatever your wives will believe isn’t my business.
