Credit is tight for two reasons: when interest rates are low, there is little incentive for lenders to take risks on borderline loans. The return is just too little to make it worthwhile.

But mainly, it is the Dodd-Frank nonsense, which requires banks to make “reasonable” risks but fails to define its terms at all. So they risk not only their principal, but also regulatory fines by imprudence and there are no rules.

Welcome to Obamanomics, Mr. Bernanke. It’s so nice you were able to take a few minutes away from the printing press to survey the destruction you have helped wreak on America. Now go Fluke yourself.
