Donald Douglas catches CNN portraying accused Florida lesbian sex offender Kaitlyn Ashley Hunt as a victim who “made a mistake.”

“Oops! Was that your 14-year-old daughter’s vagina? So sorry . . .”

Meanwhile, the #FreeKate idiots are trying a new tactic to suppress the truth: Anyone who mentions the facts of the case is a pervert.

    The extent of modern liberal “thought” is a catchy slogan, a chant, and a march that makes them feel good, then tuning into one of the myriad of Journ-O-List outlets to dress up their emotional whining into something resembling reason on the surface (but hollow inside).

    This is why it is and has been impossible to “debate” any issue with a liberal. It’s like cable TV, all they can do is shout you down, throw insults, and run out the time like Obama in a debate.

    Pete also has a great comeback for them – but naturally gets only epithets and nonsense in return, not an answer. “If it’s okay with a 14 year old, what if she were 13?” Liberal heads explode, which fortunately doesn’t result in any loss in the nation’s cumulative brain power.

    Nothing random here , Nadine Smith and Equality Florida are the one organising all the PR for the Hunt , they are used to using all these kind of aggressive tricks on social media.     What’s equally fascinating is the role of the Hunt parents. I don’t know Florida law, but in some states, they would be in legal jeapordy for having facilitated the overnight stay at their home, contrary to the victim’s parents’ express wishes.

    I expect if Daddy Hunt thought that he could make some big bucks suing someone who used pictures of Kate he’d do so because that’s probably what this boils down to: Daddy hunt making some big bucks from his cheerleader girl while getting her off the hook.

    This whole mess would have probably been properly handled by the parents and the local law enforcement and maybe a judge, and then none of us would have heard about it, except for one thing. If only the leftists activists hadn’t decided it was worth destroying Ms. Hunt’s life, like they did with Cindy Sheehan (and now with Gabby Giffords), we’d have never known.

    If it wasn’t a non-problem among the left to treat the 14-year-old victim of this crime like a co-conspirator, we’d have never known.

    If the Hunt’s had done the right thing and held the leftists at bay while seeking help for their daughter, we’d have never known.

    The common, corrupt denominator in all of this is the leftist activists. They never care whose lives they destroy.

    Isn’t every crime a mistake? It helps (a lot) to admit that and plead for mercy (especially on a first offense). But that it is a mistake does not make it less of a crime.

    See Flordia Criminal Code Section 827.04. Section 827.01 defines “child” as anyone under the age of 18. Being a runaway is a status or “deliquency” offense in most states.

    Indeed. It’s never wise to publicly deride a prosector and/or judge who have the ability to make your life miserable. Had the Hunts just shut up, and told their daughter to beg for mercy, playing the “stupid teenager” card, their daughter would probably been OK. This will not end well, unless the jury packed with 19 year olds or people who’ve never had children.

    Hypothetical: An 18 year old has sex with a 14 year old girl, (with full knowledge that the girl is 14) in the school bathroom. Legally, that’s statutory rape.

As we’ve seen with Prop 8 and other events, if the Left wanted, they’d raise the Black Rainbow Flag and riot, threaten with murder, burn and destroy anyone who disagrees with them. So far this is reduced to Facebook and the usual character assasination of innocent people – all of whom are not named Kaitlyn Hunt.

    It seems we’ll have to wait for the trial to know the answer. I would think if charges can’t be brought based on “aiding and abetting in child sexual battery” maybe based on a failure to report abuse of a child. Have to see what they mean by “child abuse” and if it fits in this case.

    During the 2012 legislative session, the Florida legislature passed HB 1355/SB 1816 which had a significant impact on the Chapter 39 of Florida Statutes, the law relating to mandatory reports of child abuse. These changes to the mandatory reporting law will be effective July 1, 2012.

    Here are some points to remember about the new law:

    Reports of child abuse should be made to the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Abuse reports can be made through the DCF statewide hotline (call 1-800-96-ABUSE) or through the DCF website.

    Everyone in Florida is a mandated reporter but some people are professionally mandated reporters. For example, social workers, medical and mental health professionals, teachers and other school officials must give their names and occupation or place of business when calling.

    Child abuse by parents, caregivers, any other adults and juvenile sex offenders should be reported to DCF’s statewide hotline.

    Failure to report child abuse to DCF will be now a third degree felony (previously this was a first degree misdemeanor).
