#SlutWalk OK, I Denounce Myself

Honestly, this is just so wrong:

It’s one of those situations where I know the joke is totally inappropriate, but the temptation . . . Ah, I used to get sent to the principal’s office all the time in school for this impulsive streak and, while I’ve learned to filter it most of the time, occasionally the urge is too strong.

So, I yielded. Hate me for it.

SlutWalk Chicago was apparently about as stupid as every other SlutWalk in the three-year history of this feminist absurdity.

It’s like feminists who think it’s empowering to shout “vagina!” That”s not empowering, it’s just stupid and crude — about as stupid and crude, really, as my tasteless sarcasm, which may be the subconscious motive why I pulled the trigger on that Tweet.

When I see a bunch of feminists parading around half-naked as if nakedness were some kind of profound political statement, I feel an iconoclastic urge to objectify them with the male gaze.

Because they hate that, and I very much want them to hate me.

You other guys can play “white knight” to these feminist if you want. Just go ahead and pretend you’re better than me — more sensitive — and I’ll mentally categorize you with that pervert Hugo Schwyzer.

Feminists love to do this thing where anyone who criticizes them is denounced as “anti-woman.” They use this “kafkatrapping” tactic as though your criticism of their ideology (or their tactics) reveals something terrible about you. Thus, the male critic of feminists is often accused of suffering from some sort of insecurity: “You’re just intimidated by strong women” — which isn’t it at all, of course.

Genuinely strong women are admirable. These women parading around half-naked are not strong. They’re deluded, and the embrace of “solidarity” is actually a security blanket, which ultimately will do nothing either to address their claimed grievance or to solve their underlying problem, namely their own profound unhappiness.

Political activism is a poor substitute for happiness, and to think of your every personal problem in the ideological context of “oppression” is just a rationalization, a way of absolving yourself of responsibility for your own life. Your job is a drag, your boyfriend is a jerk, you need to lose a few pounds — feminism tells you that, one way or another, this makes you a victim of the oppressive patriarchy.

You start viewing the world through that warped lens, and suddenly everything becomes political: Your droopy tits, for example.

OK, fine. Actually, I’m rather fascinated.

The commercialized synthetic ideal of perfectly spherical breasts? Boring. The inarguable authenticity of saggy boobs? Intriguing. So when you decide to display your flopper-whoppers as a political statement, I’m going to ju-jitsu your feminist gesture, objectify you with the male gaze, and make a totally inappropriate comment.

Because here’s the thing: You’re trying to control the narrative, to impose your discourse and deny me the right to disagree.

It’s a straight-up totalitarian power trip, and I refuse to play along.

Not justifying. Just explaining. I already denounced myself, OK?

Hope you enjoy your empowerment.

  1. Honestly, I’m not the kind of guy who says crude hurtful things to women.

For feminists? I have to make an exception.

  2. I’d like to take this opportunity to let the ladies know that I’m certified in Web Cam breast exams and this month only the preliminary exam is free.

  3. The only empowerment possible with these deluded products of a sub-standard edjumication and mis-directed energies is to place a nipple from each breast into an electrical plug. That’ll “empower” them more than any #slutwalk will.

  4. You want to be ’empowered’ and feel safe?

Go out in a group, have someone stay sober, and have a plan.

And of course, various companies make the ultimate empowerment tool, the compact handgun. However, it only works as well as the person holding it is willing.

  5. The ones smart enough not to go to something like this get the handgun permits anyhow.

The foolish ones, well, I recommend pepper spray and staying in groups with at least one sober or sensible person.

  6. How much do you want to bet Samantha Goudie who blew a .341 would have been involved in this kind of clown parade?

  7. Pepper spray, great idea! I’ll re label some FDS and we can wait a discreet distance from the #slutwalk Porta potties.

  8. Kirby’s always been a bad influence, you see. People who think I’m bad should hang around Kirby a while. I’m a domesticated animal by comparison.

  9. Slutwalks are really nothing new in history. Young women would parade around scantily clad, there would be great speakers, crowds would gather, then there’d be the sacrifice. ..

  10. Heh, that reminds me of how one student at my college tried cooking a hot dog. He took an electrical cord with a plug on one end and bare wires on the other, connected each wire to a nail. put the nails into opposite ends of the hot dog, then plugged in the plug for several seconds.

  11. good line! “You start viewing the world through that warped lens, and suddenly everything becomes political: Your droopy tits, for example.”

“Listen, this is less about me and who I am and more about what we are all here supporting. Fight the injustice!

  12. Wow, now let me explain a #Slutwalk right back at you: You walk down the street in your underwear and then tell me to respect you for your mind.

  13. When I see these women board a plane for an anti-rape slut walk in Pakistan, I’ll take them seriously and give their ideological spew an honest listen.

  14. Lack of clothing aside, I’d take her rather more seriously if the “N” in “asking” wasn’t backwards.

Or is being forced – FORCED – I say to form one’s letters properly another facet of heteropatriarchical oppression?

I’d also like to suggest that, in this day and age, a woman would have to show REAL strength by swimming against the tide of moral depravity that they are assured by feminists demonstrates “liberation” and “courage”.

  15. Nor am I the kind of guy who says crude hurtful things to women.

Womyn, on the other hand, I figure to be fair game…

  16. Great points. It takes a strong delusion to think that the following statements are contradictory.

    1. Rape, murder, robbery, etc. are wrong.
    2. If you do certain things (what you wear, how you act, where you go) then your odds of being raped, murdered, robbed, etc. increase.

The “slut-shaming” protests are a joke. Some things should be shamed, such as being sluts (male or female promiscuity).

And if being drunk automatically means the girl is a victim, then wouldn’t the true egalitarians insist that if the guy is drunk then he’s being taken advantage of — or at least incapable of being guilty himself? The Leftists can’t go three sentences without contradicting themselves.

  17. #Slutwalk = #Firstworldproblems. Anybody else notice that you never see these events outside very blue areas and that the views expressed are uniformly leftist? Liberalism really is a mental disorder.

  18. I have noticed that they don’t happen outside of areas with certain economic advantages (and that the composition of such walkies are themselves hardly drawn from the non-privileged set).
I believe there is a certain saying to the affect of “too much time and money in one’s hands makes for the devil’s playground”.
In the meantime half a world away some poor girl is getting battery acid thrown in her face for merely wanting the most basic of elementary school educations…

  19. I consider this sort of thing rather akin to the sort of behavior displayed by some Victorian era British aristocracy, the French court of Louis, and late empire Roman patricians — there is no integrity, wit, or drive to do anything other than whimsical flights of self-absorbed fancy. Clearly these people have lives that are far too soft, easy, and vapid in order to engage in this ridiculousness — it’s rotten their brains and pudgified their bodies from the looks of it (seriously, take a good look: most could have been taken straight from a stele at Tel el Amarna).
