Terrorist ‘White Widow’ Killed in Kenya?

Yesterday, I reported that American, Canadian and British terrorists were said to be among the gunmen who perpetrated the massacre at the Westgate mall in Nairobi, Kenya. Donald Douglas last night linked several reports that Britain’s notorious “White Widow” had been killed by Kenyan security forces when they stormed the mall yesterday. Now there are still more accounts:

“I’m aware that there have been reports of a British woman being involved,” British Home Secretary Theresa May said at a press conference Tuesday morning, “but until we have seen the investigations completed, it is not possible to give further details to confirm or deny that issue.” . . .
Lewthwaite has become an almost “mythological figure,” BBC reporter Peter Taylor said: “If she is dead then she would have achieved the kind of martyrdom that her husband Germaine Lindsay achieved.” A Kenyan newspaper said “multiple survivors of the attack” at the Nairobi mall said a woman “appeared to be giving orders to the attackers” . . .

  2. I think the what the Navy Yard shooter’s mom said sums it up best, that at least she can’t hurt anybody any more. Because that’s the kindest thing I can say right now.

  4. How’s that work? She can’t get 72 virgins . Maybe she gets to make sandwiches for Bin Laden all day or dress up in spiked heels and whip Zarqawi. Anyway you look at it, her children were spared being raised by the devil’s sister.

Although I am sorely tempted to revel in the death of someone like this who personifies evil in its purest form, my Christianity intervenes and all I can muster is pity; pity for a life wasted and an immortal soul lost. As heinous as her crimes were, her judgment will be what each of us also deserves, but for grace and redemption.

  8. It’s interesting that the Left, which is typically obsessed with Identity is completely ignoring the Identity Angle of these Kenyan attacks.

    Think about it: Right now, we have possible story that a group of armed religious extremists have gone into a shopping mall, taken hostages, and blew the brains out of those who failed a quiz on Islam…and the Left is treating all this as if it’s a mere a non-sequitur.

    Unbelievable.

    Note the easily impressed lefty press in Britain. Here in America we note that her terrorist loving A$$ has reached room temperature.

  16. I’m not being critical of the reaction. There’s a part of me which wants to join in. King David himself besought vengeance on his enemies and was granted his prayer.

  18. That depends. In some ways it could be part of the condign punishment of hell. Picture said Islamocrazy strapped to the wall, eyes glued open while he is regaled by as series of stunningly beautiful strippers who perform a lengthy series of lap dances.
    The other side is the strippers could be someone like Jayne Mansfield required to do the stripping. Both sides would be experiencing hell.
