0:49 What right do they have to pick and choose what part of government’s going to be funded?
And the Constitution says:
All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
So if the House, which has remained oddly stuck in size since 1910, and thus may not represent the people with optimal fidelity, originates a bill, it’s kind of odd that the Dim Bulb from Vegas not know from whence that right originates.
And then Reid goes on to obsess about the obsession with ObamaCare. Here, the House reflects the hatred of the Unaffordable Careless Act with all due disrespect for its idiotic origins, foul drafting, brass-knuckle passage, moronic jurisprudence, banana republic exceptions, irresponsible roll-out, and predictable economic doom to follow.
Screw you, Reid, and the casinos that kept your undead cadaver cluttering our Senate.

Harry knows what the Constitution says. He doesn’t care. He can misquote it or lie about the responsibilities of the House and Senate, because he knows the media will cover for him. It works, because most people don’t know what the Constitution says, thanks to our Leftist educational system.
I just had to try and get an Obot to try and understand the constitutional obligation of the House to set the spending rules Monday. I failed. But I did get called a teabagger and batshit. So I had that going for me.

How did you expect someone who’s almost certainly probably not a gay pedophile in all likelihood to respond? “Honestly, she’s such a bitch!“
Whenever I see a troll use the term ‘teabagger’, I ask them why do they hate gays.
Harry Reid is a pederast.
Someone thought he looked like an undertaker, but “undead cadaver” is very original.
“Harry knows what the Constitution says.”
I wouldn’t bet on that.

Here in Los Angeles one of my friends tutors HS students. They’re using a reading text that tells the kids the Declaration mentions the inalienable right to “life, liberty, affordable housing and free healthcare.”
[…] Smitty notes something i should have caught at 49 seconds into the video asks […]
[…] Dirty Harry asks what right the House has to pick and choose what to fund. Well Dirty Harry may not have copy of the Constitution, or maybe he is simply illiterate. I care not which. However Smitty does have copy of the Constitution and does now how to read, from Other McCain: […]
Well, at least we’re clear on their agenda.
Good thing I’m nowhere near LA or I would hunt down every copy of that text and burn them all in a bonfire, and cook hot dogs over the fire.
Thanks for that link to thirty-thousand.org. It’s one of my favorite sites on the whole ‘net.

I don’t think it’s been proven that he’s not a pedophile.
Harry is exempt from accountability from the law. The only reason he doesn’t shoot Paul or Cruz on the floor of the Senate is the principle of what comes around goes around, or in the case of Paul and Cruz, that Senator McCain will wrestle the gun away from Reid so he can shoot them himself.
He has neither denied nor confirmed the truthfulness of it. I just want to know if he is still a pederast or when he quit if he’s not.
More realistic as well.
I should have, but I let it slide.
Heh. I’m better looking …

Two important things came from interviews on Levin’s broadcast this week:
1) Mike Lee: “If the president is not going to enforce the law, we should defund the law”
2) Betsy McCaughey: “The President has unconstitutionally altered the law—AFTER the Supreme Court ruled on it. Therefore it’s not even the same law as The ACA anymore.”
Naturally, Betsy McCaughey has full data to back up barack’s unconstitutional alterations fo the law since its passage, and since the SCOTUS ruling.
It’s time for an Article Five Convention of the States.
What is a continuing resolution? What do the words mean?
My layman’s understanding demands that any new spending should be excluded from such a bill. The problem, as I see it, seems to be that our imperial leader habitually neglects routine budgetary procedure.
A continuing resolution is a way to keep funding the government when the budget hasn’t been properly passed. The way the budget is supposed to work (last I checked) is there are supposed to be 13 separate budget bills passed by both the House and Senate and signed by the President. Unfortunately that’s rarely how it works. Sometimes only some of them get passed, or as is currently the case (someone correct me if I’m wrong), sometimes none of them get passed, and what didn’t get passed gets bundled up into one big bill called a continuing resolution that keeps funding the government at the same rate it was last year.
This is where it gets ugly. After 2009, Harry Reid refused to pass any budget in the Senate at all, so the entire bloody government has been funded by continuing resolution ever since.
Yes, that’s a horrible way to run the government, but Reid doesn’t give a fig. The current standoff is because the House and Senate have not agreed to a continuing resolution at all, so the only things that are funded are the things that were previously funded for multiple years, or were funded by other laws already passed. Just before the deadline the House and Senate passed a bill that Obama signed to fund pay for the military, so that’s one thing that didn’t get shut down.
Just active duty military, though. National Guard and Reserve technicians have been furloughed and regular monthly drills canceled, which is going to do wonders for readiness since so many support units are in the Reserve Components these days.

I think it’s worse than “doesn’t give a fig.” This is more not letting a crisis go to waste. Since the actual financial crisis has passed, they just have to manufacture their own. Because without some emergency, they lack a sufficient smoke screen to keep people from seeing what they’re actually up to.
The only silver lining seems to be that the endless CR is probably growing the budget more slowly than normal. But of course, the ratcheting done by porkulus offsets that.
And they also use TARP to provide cover for their increase. Whatever you think about TARP, it was a different animal than, say, jacking HHS’ budget by 5% (or whatever).
