    As I predicted, Obama is bringing the pain. But his vaunted political operation seems tone-deaf. Hurting veterans and families on vacation to historic American sites seems less likely to enrage the public against Republicans.

    Democrats claim they are “winning” the shutdown but if that were the case why are they demanding Republicans cave immediately? It would be to their benefit to let us dig ourselves ever deeper. I suspect the polls aren’t moving the way they expected. The rhetoric is so extreme – we are being called arsonists and hostage-takers. They sound nervous to me.

    Maybe I’m in my own little “bubble”, but in the age of social media, and despite the 2012 election, I believe conservatives are exceeding the ability of the legacy, Democrat-sycophantic media to block any message but their favored message.

    Can we image where Obama would be if the legacy media was slightly less biased? One word: NIXON.

    I read a column to that effect today, but I can’t locate it on this computer. Might have been Peggy Noonan. Anyway, I also read about OFA’s Obamacare Facebook where people are supposed to post their positive experiences with Obamacare and how wonderful it is – you know, how someone they know got Obamacare and now they have been cured of cancer. Held my nose and went over there to take a look – man, it looks like Breitbart & Drudge commenters have taken over – pleasant surprise. Wonder how long before OFA has to close it down – looks like people in opposition to Obamacare and in support of the shutdown are bonding at that site. But, Obama is the cool dude who uses social media. This is turning out to be social media at it’s best. Check it out.

    One of my instructors in OCS though the G-Man was a psychopath. I had a very hard time not laughing. Fortunately he didn’t notice as being an Ossifer candidate I was not a very strong position to defend myself.
