CBS: ‘Hey, Benghazi Is a Real Scandal’

Here’s the headline at Legal Insurrection:

60 Minutes confirms Benghazi is a
real scandal, and you’ve been lied to

No surprise to anyone who has actually paid attention, of course, but the Obama administration and its media sycophants have spent months issuing excuses and manufacturing distractions — “Squirrel!” — in an effort to delay disclosure of the whole cover-up.

What has happened is essentially a repeat of what happened with the Lewinsky scandal: First, the flat-out lie, then months of carefully shifting the narrative so that when the truth becomes known, the political impact of the revelation is negligible, because people have relegated the incident to the category of Something That Already Happened. If the full truth had been known at the outset, the political result would have been different, but Democrats can survive scandals that would destroy any Republican in similar circumstances, simply because the mainstream media are sympathetic to Democrats and are therefore eager to assist them in perpetrating falsehood.

  2. CBS must know that there will be a price to pay for this. At President Hillary’s news conferences, the only cameras allowed will be from MSNBC and Al-Jazeera.

  4. The problem here is we’re heading for scandal overload.

    Benghazi, ObamaCare’s massive failure, and every tawdry little thing will be distractions the court media will use as excuses not to investigate.

    Actually, that’s too complicated. It’s more like this: Republicans are evil, white, and stupid, so they should NEVER win anything anywhere anytime And Democrats meanwhile are pure, diverse, nuanced, and always right, so they should always win. It doesn’t go any deeper than that.

  6. CBS has an Internet site where you can comment on their programs. I suggested they do a follow-up program on Benghazi where they addressed:
    1. Who issued the stand-down order and why?
    2. Where was the President during the 9-hour battle?
    3. Why did the President, Hillary, and Rice lie about the video for 2-3 weeks?
    4. Why is the Obama Administration preventing any of the 30+ survivors from testifying before Congress?

  7. How’s it possible for something like this to happen when we were promised the most transparent administration since Clinton?

  9. We know when he goes to play Golf or on vacation. Why would you think he’s not transparent? I just don’t unnerstand.

  14. The decision to ignore the calls for help in Benghazi were politically motivated. Momma Valerie Jarrett probably told Obama to get ready for the fundraiser in Las Vegas & ignore these nuisance alarms. As always, momma Jarrett picks up after her boy just like Hillary had to clean up after Bill. So, these broads, Hillary & Valerie cooked up this silly story about the movie which no one had seen and left the task of mouthpiece to Susan Rice. None of them have great love for the USA or the military. Benghazi was an annoying ‘fly’ for Obama. Hey, it worked! He got reelected.
