Bill Schmalfeldt ranting, 2011. (Image via Thomas Anderson at Vimeo)
John Hoge posted updates Friday about legal proceedings against lying felon Brett Kimberlin’s biggest fanboy, Bill Schmalfeldt:
- Hoge has petitioned for a six-month extension of his peace order against Schmalfeldt (due to expire in December) and has further asked the Court “that Bill Schmalfeldt be ordered to show cause why he should not be held in contempt of court for his violations of the peace order.”
- Hoge presented evidence “to a District Court Commissioner regarding messages I have received from Bill Schmalfledt in violation of the peace order. The Commissioner found probable cause for 38 counts of violation of the peace order. A summons was issued.”
Now, some readers may wonder — indeed, some have complained about it — why so much attention should be paid to an obscure assclown like Bill Schmalfeldt. Here’s your first clue:
For more than two years now, a series of people who have in one way or another found themselves on Brett Kimberlin’s Enemies List — including Patrick Frey, Mandy Nagy, Aaron Walker, Lee Stranahan and others — have complained about what would appear to be a pattern of orchestrated online harassment against them.
Much of that harassment, especially on Twitter, has emanated from pseudonymous entities such as @BreitbartUnmask, @X3n0ph0n and the now-defunct @OccupyRebellion. However, Schmalfeldt (who began cyberstalking Aaron Walker in June 2012) has harassed Kimberlin’s enemies under his own name, and with the encouragement of Melissa Brewer (@catsrimportant), whose connection to Kimberlin’s acknowledged “associate” Neal Rauhauser is beyond dispute.
Now we have, in Schmalfeldt’s own words, the explanation that this harassment (which he absurdly calls “investigating”) was done on behalf of Brett Kimberlin: Just forget Kimberlin exists, Schmalfeldt says — to Frey, Walker, Stranahan, Ali Akbar, et al. — and “no one,” including Bill Schmalfeldt, will continue this harassment.
Keep in mind that, at that time, the following was happening:
- Frey was the defendant in a frivolous lawsuit brought by Nadia Naffe, a lawsuit incited by Kimberlin’s colleague, Neal Rauhauser;
- Stranahan and his family were being harassed by Schmalfeldt to the point that, a few months later, Stranahan flew from Texas to Maryland and filed a criminal harassment complaint;
- The Walker v. Kimberlin lawsuit in Virginia was approaching a key court date; and
- Schmalfeldt was also harassing me, at one point sending me over 200 hostile Twitter messages in the span of 48 hours and threatening to contact my wife.
“Just forget Brett Kimberlin exists,” see?
In point of fact, however, if it hadn’t been for the constant harassment from Schmalfeldt and others, there would have been little reason for any of us to mention Brett Kimberlin in November 2012. And while I’d have to double-check, I’m reasonably sure that neither the Maryland Kimberlin v. Walker, et al., lawsuit nor the federal RICO suit that Hoge has dubbed Kimberlin v. the Universe, et al., cites anything any of us published in October or November 2012 as being defamatory. In other words, it would appear that the harassment we were enduring at the time of Schmalfeldt’s “just forget Brett Kimberlin exists” threat was in the nature of vindictive retaliation.
Let us then remember a key claim in Kimberlin v. Walker, et al.:
4. Defendants falsely wrote that other targets of theirs were part of “Team Kimberlin” and published that Plaintiff controlled, paid, and directed this vast network of “unsavory” operatives.
Just about every word there is a lie. Such people as Neal Rauhauser, Bill Schmalfeldt and Melissa Brewer were not our targets; rather, we were their targets and why? Because we had written about Brett Kimberlin’s criminal history and, as Schmalfeldt made clear, the harassment directed against us by Schmalfeldt and other members of “Team Kimberlin” was in reprisal for that unwelcome coverage.
Whether this harassment was “controlled, paid, and directed” by Kimberlin personally is a matter of speculation; that it was understaken on behalf of Kimberlin and intended to benefit him (by punishing his targeted enemies) would seem indisputable.
Bill Schmalfeldt’s words and actions are clear evidence thereof and — RES JUDICATA! — Maryland courts have found that Bill Schmalfeldt’s behavior constituted illegal harassment.
Obscure assclown though he may be, therefore, Bill Schmalfeldt’s actions during the past 17 months are quite relevant to the defense in Kimberlin v. Walker, et al., in a way similar to the recent misfortunes that have befallen Kimberlin’s associate Neal Rauhauser.
And let’s flash back to the June court hearing where Hoge was granted the peace order against Schmalfeldt:
Brett Kimberlin showed up in court for Schmalfeldt’s hearing. . . .
Walker and others believe they have been the targets of an orchestrated campaign of harassment aimed at Kimberlin’s enemies.
One might argue that Bill Schmalfeldt is merely a nutjob, but Kimberlin’s presence at today’s court hearing certainly suggests that the focus of Schmalfeldt’s madness was not entirely random.
If Kimberlin thought Schmalfeldt was sufficiently important to merit his presence for the Hoge v. Schmalfeldt hearing, what does that tell you? Help us fight this fight. Go hit the tip jar at Hogewash, or hit my tip jar, or contribute at BomberSuesBloggers.com.

Asshattery must be a good paying gig. Otherwise, how could the Cabin Boy justify all this time on an ignorant and not very well thought out pattern of behavior.

I was watching his twitter feed the other day and could not believe he’d be so stupid as to tweet to Mr. Hoge. Oh well, some lessons are only learned the hard way.

I thought that Kimberlin was paying Cabin Boy, but now I think that its just mental illness.
Of course, a bit of good discovery work on Kimberlin’s check book, together with JMTP’s checkbook, might prove me wrong ….
I blame the liberal PC culture. Over time, for example, it eradicated the carnival sideshows as exploitive of the freaks. But this compassion left the freaks with no ready alternative sources of employment.
Had those freak shows not been closed down, the likes of Schmalfeldt might have found gainful and satisfying employment, and not been left to idleness and the temptation of their base instincts.

If I recall correctly, BS may have admitted that BK paid for his lawyer. Sure sounds like a form of payment to me, if true.

The utter lack of chin. The striking semblance to King Hippo. That is all I can think of.

I wonder how a guy making $19,500 a year can pay for someone else’s lawyer.
I suspect occasionally Kimberlin tosses Schmalfeldt a herring.
I find him to remind me of an giant evil eraser, or a very angry and infected alien space zit.
For one thing, somebody is paying for all the domain names he goes through, and I’m betting it’s not BS.
How does he managed to feed himself on that?
A large chafed pig nipple also comes to mind.
I’ve been waiting for the day the “I’m sick/crazy so I’m not at fault for anything I ever said so please stop persecuting me” card to be played.
A human thumb. Or King Kong Bundy’s uncool older brother.
I see a fallacy in your thinking: Daily Kos is still being published, right?
Welfare fraud? But he is in Maryland, so his vote will exonerate him.
Considering Sebellius is rolling out Obamacare for mental health, that card just got dealt.
It doesn’t appear that the Cabin Boy has realized the depth of the hole he has dug for himself. He’s in much deeper than where his neck would be if he had one.
He’s running out of time to get out of that hole before the stuff he’s thrown around is pushed back in on top of him.
Adjoran is full of fallacies.
That one is played at intervals already.
There is a very important element Mr. Hoge has forgotten. Zoa Barnes has yet to file her withdrawal as his attorney of record. Hoge may not file his own briefs as long as he has an attorney of record. Zoa did not file the briefs. So, technically, there are no briefs filed asking for an extension or for a contempt charge.
It doesn’t seem as if Mr. Hoge realizes that his lawyer has to file his briefs, not him. If Zoa Barnes is still his attorney, SHE has to file the briefs, not him. If she is not his attorney any more (wise choice), she needs to file a withdrawal of appearance letter with the court. For the record, since we’re being all legal and everything.
And having seen Mr. Hoge’s ghastly son, he is the last person to be making jokes about people being “fat.”
I see Bill Smellyfart has made his appearance on this post …

And it doesn’t seem he knows who the real moron is.
I’ve figured it out. He’s a Thumb-thumb from the movie Spy Kids.
note that 19,500 is optimal for receiving max gov bennies
I’m thinking Fat Bastard from the Austin Powers movies…….
“Of course I’m not happy! Look at me, I’m a big fat slob. I’ve got bigger titties than you do. I’ve got more chins than a Chinese phonebook. I’ve not seen my willie in two years, which is long enough to declare it legally dead.”
ACME Legal giving you advice still, Cabin Boy?
