Perhaps @juliezeilinger would care to debate this?
This is the dynamic at the heart of online harassment more generally, which, feminists have previously noted, is largely an attempt to silence women. Gamergate — a movement, ostensibly started to improve ethics in video game journalism, that morphed into a campaign of horrifying, misogynistic comments and threats directed at female gamers and critics — is one infamous example. This harassment, Guardian columnist Jessica Valenti wrote in October, is “the last, desperate gasp of misogynists facing an unwelcoming future” and is essentially the way “straight white men deal with a world that no longer revolves exclusively around them.”
Read the whole thing, which involves a story about a college feminist who was murdered. Police haven’t said anything about the motive for the murder of Grace Mann and, although there has been a great deal of speculation. it is not yet possible to know whether her murder was a consequence of her campus activism.
There is, however, another problem involved here. Neither Julie Zeilinger nor Jessica Valenti nor any other feminist will address the totalitarian climate fostered by feminism’s uncontested hegemony in academia. It is predictable that “straight white men” (why only white men, Jessica?) on university campuses don’t enjoy being constantly accused of misogyny simply because they are “straight white men.”
Exactly what are these young students, scapegoated for the crime of being male, supposed to do in reaction to such propaganda? Who will speak on their behalf? How is any student (regardless of whether they are male or female, whatever their ethnic identity or sexual orientation) supposed to obtain access to any articulate, factual and rational opposition to the anti-male/anti-heterosexual ideology taught in university Women’s Studies programs? Is there any faculty member who would risk disputing feminist gender theory — the “social construction” of the gender binary within the heterosexual matrix — after Larry Summers was purged at Harvard University merely for suggesting that there may be “innate differences” between men and women”?

Nobody on campus is allowed to criticize feminist theory nor to mention the hideous hatefulness of feminist rhetoric. Our universities are teaching feminists that they can lie with impunity, defame innocent people without consequence, and claim victimhood (“harassment!”) if anyone objects to their lies and insults. Every time Christina Hoff Sommers sets foot on a university campus, she is deliberately smeared, accused of being a “rape denialist,” and no one in authority — not a single administrator at any university — will dare say a word against the deranged fanaticism of the feminists who engage in these brownshirt tactics. As I explain on page 54 of Sex Trouble:
And “eventually” could arrive much sooner than most people imagine.

Feminism is a brilliant scam, because the failure of feminism to actually solve anything is always proof of the need for … more feminism.

Agreed.
The same thing would happen if all the “white guilt” do-gooders were to stand in solidarity with the downtrodden black communities of Baltimore- robbed, raped and dead is how they’d end up.
But hey…smash the patriarchy and power to the people!
Pass the popcorn please.
I’m not usually thinking too clearly late at night. That’s how I came to have kids.
The Patriarchy generally frowns on making rubs anatomically specific, if you know what I mean . . .
Also, be advised, I’m bringing the snoots.
The Patriarchy also only refers to itself in the third person, because that’s the way it rolls.
I’ve read theories about soy and certain chemicals (including plastic softeners and can liners) acting like pseudo-hormones. Actual hormones are fed to cattle to make them fatten up faster, and maybe they get into our own diet that way. There’s also a somewhat teleological theory that the hormones in birth control pills make women prefer men that are less manly, and you get more of what you incentivize. They’re all a bit speculative still AFAIK.
yeah…I might shouldn’t oughta hang around here too much..the force of logic and rapish patriarchy are strong in your menfolk…who are no doubt very oppressive…
and I suspect some may even be white.
they make me feel stuff.
so why are they not arrested or at least muzzled?
they’re probably very mean.
Hypothesis, Mann discovered he was taking covert pix of her and the other roommates. She confronts him. Boom. As you say, something simple.
I think they just like the way it sounds when they say things like “horrifying misogynistic comments” and it helps them gin up their chronic hysteria.
But then what do I know? I’m just a green bean….still trying to figure out, if they hate men so much, why so many of them want to look like men.
Pardon me sir, but do you have a moment to discuss our lord and savior, the Flying Spaghetti Monster? 🙂
“And “eventually” could arrive much sooner than most people imagine.”

Guess who’s next after Europe has fallen?
And yet he lives???
But more importantly….use butter to dissolve the sticky gunk. I won’t call it goobery because that is a very technical drywall term and also not something you want in your beautiful, long sun-streaked hair. Besides drywall is a male dominated trade.
But butter will do it, and it washes out easily.
I have booty-length tresses myself, and have had just such an experience with just such a product, and if it had been my husband’s fault it would very possibly have forced me to become a feminist.
Hahahahaha!
They’re very mean. And oppressive.
Good thing we have our tazers.
i saw this somewhere and it fits perfectly here
“The growth of equality, the growth of feminist power, and the growth of feminist propaganda as a means of protecting feminist power from the growth of equality.”
Do these perpetually dissatisfied womyn believe that there’s a secret cabal of Hetero-normative patriarchs who engage in secret meetings somewhere in Luxembourg or West Virginia where they plot the condoning of rape on college campuses?
Read up thread. If you’d pay your dues on time, you’d get the newsletter with notice of the meetings. Next week’s in high school gym in Lesterville, Missouri. We start promptly at 6:30 P.M. Because you’re late with your dues, you have to stand on a table and sing, “I’m A Little Teapot.”
don’t quit your day job
You better double check with the International because
when I joined the I paid in a lifetime membership up front. I proudly support the Patriarchy!
(Is this going to be potluck or is there something special I can bring? Dirty rice? Red cups?)
I feel your pain!
Stuff in your hair is the worst thing in the world.
The Patriarchy has its new write-in candidate for next year’s third vice-president. Congrats to Dr. D.M.!
The Patriarchy never makes mistakes. I’ll check the Cray XK7 which is located in the storm shelter on Enoch Masterson’s farm in Lusk, Wyoming. If there’s no record there, bring you checkbook.
And maybe potato salad.
Why would a 13-year-old have a day job?
Tsk tsk, no sense of humor.
Okay then, see you in Lesterville next week.
And I’ll get my wife on that potato salad
immediatelyat her convenience. It’s the living things that are the worst! And if I had a palmetto bug in my hair, I would absolutely Freak.Right.Out.
I was sort of counting on you guys to write me in as president. 😀
They usually interpret it by saying ALL men feel entitled to women’s bodies. So one rape equals “rape culture.” Yes, they are that crazy and unfair.
Simple: there is no such thing as misandry. They also LOL the idea of MRAs – or in other words, their mirror opposites. They laugh at themselves.
That’s the funny thing about this cult. If you say radical feminism was created by lesbians for lesbians – a true and simple observation – their kool-air drinkers start laughing at “lesbian cabals.”
The entire cult is the opposite of critical thinking. Anything is anything at any given time as long as straight white men stay in the cross-hairs. Goalposts have legs and wander across their landscape. Men never catch up. The same amazing coincidence and Las Vegas odds the KKK uses with black folks. Feminist white knights never notice.
I think it’s the schools. Boys are taught in their schools and by their young mommies (daddies not on the scene as much) to behave as little girls do.
Girls are quiet; boys are loud.
Girls like fairness and having no real leader; boys want, need and expect for somebody to be the leader.
Girls want order; boys want chaos.
Girls want to play together in little groups; boys want to run around and break things.
Girls are passive-aggressive; boys are aggressive-aggressive.
Girls want to braid each other’s hair; boys want to pretend shoot each other.
And when forced long enough to sublimate their boyish behaviors, including their budding sexuality (which does need to be controlled for age-appropriateness, but accusing a 6 year old of sexual harassment for kissing a little girl is ridiculous), they may turn into beta males or worse (boy feminists or trannies).
That’s one side of the coin. Now we see little girls encouraged to be foul-mouthed little feminists, to celebrate their grrrl-power, and to sexually act out.
The progressive idea is turning boys into girls and girls into boys, creating all sorts of mental issues and angst, and then who is going to be able to protect the family, if the “men” are unable or unwilling to fight for it.
Easier for the socialist dictatorship to maintain control that way.
One minor quibble: their mirror opposites are masculinists. MRAs typically just advocate for actual equality, which most feminists only give lip service to; equal compassion for men, equal accountability for women, and placing objective facts over flawed studies and venomous rhetoric.
Do these perpetually dissatisfied womyn believe that there’s a secret cabal of Hetero-normative patriarchs who engage in secret meetings somewhere in Luxembourg or West Virginia where they plot the condoning of rape on college campuses?
We know you do, Sarge. We’re not stupid. We know that when you say you’re working late, or going to the hardware store or the gym, that you’re really in Luxembourg drinking beer, eating pork rinds, watching the game, and plotting your next rape (assuming any of you are still sober enough at that point to plan anything).
Meanwhile, we use that opportunity to get $200 haircuts, buy those sweet little sandals we had our eye on, hide half your socks behind the dryer, and put the toilet seat up so we can nag you later about that. Then we go buy deli potato salad, put it in one of our own Tupperware bowls in the fridge, then later claim that we spent all afternoon making it……..Winning.
Loved your third paragraph. 😀
I want to watch you sing “My Little Teapot”.
Will there be a DVD of this event available for purchase later?
Better be careful. Enoch’s Cray got hacked by Sally Masterson when she was trying to get a line on that chickie-poo he’s been talking to Facebook.
Somebody needs to tell him that Sally ain’t buyin’ that “class reunion” story. And also not to leave a post-it with “Cray login and password” and “BigDaddy/xyzzy” written on it in his sock drawer.
Just take the Tupperware bowl you’ll find in the fridge.
That “click me” bait was cruel and unusual ELB. 🙂
The point was an in-group/out-group view of society where all things are viewed as to whether it benefits males or females as opposed to everyone. Feminists laughing at MRAs are laughing at their very own existence. Feminists use a fake analogy to Jim Crow to justify that. The Sansa Stark/Game of Thrones rape is a perfect example. Torture men, no problem. Do that to women – taboo. It’s supremacist junkery.
Reality’s mantra:
Men are eligible for the draft.
Women have never done one single thing is history collectively, e.g. pyramids, canals, museums, the discovery of molds. Add one million there.
Probably this is TMI, but I think the birth control pill thing is bogus. I used them for awhile, and they never changed my desire for hairy, patriarchal testosterone factories. Of course, this experiment includes anecdotal information and a participant size of 1.
You’re really mean. >:(
And besides, men only discovered molds by leaving leftovers in the back of the fridge too long, so that one shouldn’t count.
Oh crap, that reminds me… I should probably throw those out.
There’s a statistical effect where when women are fertile, they’re more likely to prefer more rugged male faces that indicate higher testosterone, which helps explain the post-Pill trend toward pretty-boy film stars. You know statistics as well as anyone here and better than me — it was my weakest subject in math — so I’m not going to presume to explain what you already know about anecdata. 😉
The speculative part of that theory is just whether a trend in female preference could actually cause men to become less manly overall. I find it plausible, except that lower sperm counts in men, earlier puberty in girls, and the obesity epidemic imply an environmental effect.
Don’t throw them out – FedEx them to FB. Hahahahaha
Statistics – feh! I could tell you tons of stories about authority figures trying to browbeat me into using statistics based upon poor data collection and faulty experimental design in my work, as a substitute for my high-integity, tell-it-like-it-is results. You can probably imagine my response to browbeating. 😀 So I’d have to look at that data with a critical eye. I think the environmental causation is a much more likely hypothesis.
I know what you mean about math. Before I went to college, I hated it, and took as little low-level classes as I could and still graduate. In fact, in one of my wampy math classes, I used to sit on a cute boy’s lap in there. He told the teacher that I was his secretary, and she just let it slide. Instead, I took a bunch of theater, art and music, because I just KNEW that’s where my career would be.
And just look at me now! [eyeroll]
Oh no, I love math to the point that I got a degree in it, even though it wasn’t my best subject. (That would be economics.) I just suck at statistics for some reason, and even had to re-take it to graduate.
You got a degree in math??
Cool!
I didn’t start liking it until college, when I learned that I was actually good at it. Much to my surprise, and the surprise of everyone who knew me. My AI prof even called me gifted at it in front of the whole class, who he was berating for not being super-cool like moi! Hahaha! Who’da thunk it?
Do you have a job using math? They’re kinda hard to find, except, I guess, in academia. I didn’t really want to do statistics, that just sorta fell into my lap, against my will. So now I write a lot of SQL and run stats on my results. . Although I once has a cool gig for NASA writing a massive fortran (see how old I am?) converting time domain data to the frequency domain.
I live a really unexciting life. I’m a mathematician. And engineer. I’m a nerd.
No, I’m rather underemployed, but I’m not too worried about it. I’m leaning toward stretching my creative muscles and writing some novels in my free time. I enjoy solving tech problems, but I’m just not very good at selling my skills.
I’m underemployed, too, and I like it that way. Less corporate bs.
You seem like a creative guy. You should go for it. I myself am center-brained and am equally creative and technical. I wonder if you are too? If so, I bet you could leverage that.
I’d buy your book. And I’d tell people, “I know this guy!” and they’d say “Stop lying!”
But not all bi and lesbian women are haters of men. Check out “girl writes what.” Straughn is a MHRA. Plus, not all gay men are stupid enough to align with feminists.
I think this site is spot on when it comes to anti feminism, but lost when it comes to bashing gays. Try being more compassionate to people who didn’t ask to be the way they are. At least out-gay men and women don’t go around as cowards afraid of themselves, letting others turn them into self-haters, letting hateful others make rules that get auto-believed. Real men and women face themselves and accept who they are inside.
The regular commenters here are aware of GirlWritesWhat, but since she doesn’t make a big deal out of her sexual identity, most probably don’t know or care. For that matter, GayPatriot is on the blogroll. I don’t agree with everything that everyone says, and I pick my battles, but I think that the consensus is more around being anti-anti-straight than anti-gay.
