Today I learned that one of my favorite Christmas movies, Laurel & Hardy’s Babes In Toyland, had been remade in 1961 with Ray Bolger, Annette Funicello, and Tommy Sands…and again in 1986 with Keanu Reeves (!) and Drew Barrymore, though the last one sounds like the scriptwriter got the plot confused with A Christmas Carol and possibly Peter Pan, though I haven’t watched it so I can’t be sure. Anyhow, we’ve never had the famous former Mouseketeer here before, so here she is from Muscle Beach Party, one of a bunch of silly surfing comedies from the sixties.

Apparently Disney was none too pleased with their former child star exposing her navel on the big screen.

First out of the box this week is Ninety Miles From Tyranny with Hot Pick of the Late Night,The 90 Miles Mystery Box Episode #461, Morning Mistress, and Girls With Guns. Next, it’s Animal Magnetism with Rule Five Electoral Reform Friday and the Saturday Gingermageddon.
