I Call A Bullish Hit

Jammie Wearing Fools has a post pointing out pure silliness from the Obama campaign:

“We have plenty of time for big rallies,” a campaign spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said between the rallies on Thursday. “Our focus right now is on exciting our supporters and winning over undecided voters and the smaller and medium-size events are the best venue to accomplish that because the president can closely engage with the crowd.
”Big rallies are expensive, especially given the logistical and security challenges for a president as opposed to a mere United States senator. And Obama campaign operatives, both at the Chicago headquarters and in swing states where Mr. Obama recently has stumped, say the campaign intentionally limits crowds by restricting tickets. The reason is to allow the president to better connect with supporters, aides say.

If you believe that, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Tinkerbell will show up, backing Axelrod in “Confiscated Guns ‘n’ Subsidized Roses“, and perform their 30-minute blues-rock jam, “In a Gadda da Bushdunnit” as an Obama fundraiser.

Ride right through them, they’re demoralized as hell.

Update II: brilliant!

I predict that Romney will win at least as big as Obama did. If the trend continues, and a preference cascade hits, we could be seeing something in the Mondale territory.

O has been campaigning since he became president; maybe people are just tired of seeing him. Who are they trying to kid about “limiting tickets” when O is asking people to give HIM money instead of the bride. And he couldn’t care less about logistics or inconveniencing anyone.

Remember when Obama would attend these functions in college stadiums? The funny thing is, now they can’t even fill up a high school or junior high gym anymore. If the point is to move to a smaller venue to save money and make the candidate more personally accessible, maybe they should try booking a coffee house next time.

Obama’s appeal has become more selective (anyone who saw the movie “This Is Spinal Tap” know what I’m talking about).

    Mark Steyn parodies it well:
ROB REINER: The last time Spinal Tap toured America, they were, uh, booked into 10,000 seat arenas, and 15,000 seat venues, and it seems that now, on their current tour they’re being booked into 1,200 seat arenas, 1,500 seat arenas, and uh I was just wondering, does this mean uh…the popularity of the group is waning?

BAND MANAGER DAVID AXELROD: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no…no, no, not at all. We have plenty of time for big stadium gigs. But our focus right now is on intentionally limiting crowds by restricting tickets – to allow the band to better connect with fans.

    ROB REINER [NODDING]: Yeah.

I bet that line made even progtards chortle. These people are so transparently mendacious that they should be red-cheeked with shame when they appear in public…but they aren’t because liberalism is kabuki theater for the dim-witted masses.

Yeah, he wants the intimacy of small crowds. To connect with the peeps. Yeah, that’s the ticket. One on one, we’re gonna play that game tonight. That’s it.

It has nothing to do with the fact he is the Worst President Ever. Or that he SUCKS. Or that he is a SCOAMF. Yeah, that’s it.

How badly does President Zero want to connect with the peeps?

    This badly.

    Not.

Obama draws 14,100 over two days in three cities which total over 750,000 in population, Denver, Pueblo, and Grand Junction CO while Romney draws 2600 in a village of 409 that is in a county that is 14,000 total.
