Twenty Thousand Muslims Expected to Attend Democrat Convention in Charlotte

Starting at the end of this month the Democratic National Convention will open with a focus on Islam. 20,000 Muslims are expected to attend according to the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), the national Muslim American non-profit coordinating the two days of events they claim are non-political. ”Jumah at the DNC” begins August 29 and will start with a Friday afternoon jummah prayer followed by other unnamed programs and events, leading up to the Islamic Regal Banquet. The following day will be an all day Islamic Cultural and Fun Fest which will include discussions on the topics of Islamaphobia, Anti-Shariah, Middle Eastern Crisis, Patriot Act, National Defense Authorization Act and more.

Looks like the DNC successfully co-opted another “victim” (of reich wing hatred) group. Is there anyone they won’t try to exploit? Oh thats right, pro-life christians must be destroyed.

Essentially, Democrats are trying to coopt Muslims in the 21st Century the way they coopted Jews in the 1920’s. However, the problem for Democrats is that many Muslims, especially Arab Muslim immigrants, are virulently anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian. This isn’t a problem for the Democratic Left, but it will become an increasingly problematic issue for the Liberal Ruling Circles over time, as they try to hold on to Jews, their votes, and most important (to liberals) their money.

Smart Jewish liberals like Peter Beinart get this, which is one reason why he is telling Israel to be all accomodationist with the Palestinians: so the Democratic Party in the United States can conduct its straddle with the Jews and the Muslims. It’s complete nonsense, of course.

Dear God, please do not let the stupid GOP decide to follow suit with something similar, because you KNOW that dhimmi tools such as Chris Christie and Grover Norquist, and, “conservative” Muslim Brotherhood operate Suhail Khan, will think that having sharia pushing jihad enabling islamic supremacists converge on the Republican convention is a great idea!

Wow. Some topics just bring the idiots crawling out of the woodwork.

First off, the DNC has nothing to do with BIMA’s effort to grab publicity from the convention. Red State’s claim that the DNC convention will focus on Islam because BIMA is scheduling a parallel event is like claiming the GOP platform will have an anti-war plank because Code Pink will be waving signs outside the convention hall in Tampa.

Second, the BIMA spokesman’s claim of 20,000 attendees is a classic PR stunt that some morons are only too happy to fall for. If BIMA could get 20,000 people to travel cross-country, you might have heard of BIMA before. This is a guy whose official web site is less than 60 days old.

Third, BIMA is making the same publicity bid with the GOP convention. “Muhammad Jaaber, executive director of the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs, said smaller events are planned for the Republican National Convention” (Charlotte Observer) Those are not magic words that turn Romney into a muslim, either.
