Emphasis mine:
C’mon Now, GOP, Don’t Go Wobbly on Us
by Sarah Palin on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 12:10pm
Please read and pass along this article. We send good conservatives to D.C. to fulfill the promises they made to the electorate, and yet when they stay true to their word the permanent political class in their own party punishes them. This won’t be forgotten come 2014. Right now the GOP establishment is more concerned about the opinion of the media and the Georgetown cocktail circuit than they are “we the people” who hired them. For all this new talk of how the GOP needs a “populist movement,” it would do them good to remember they already have one; it’s called the Tea Party movement, and it won for them the majority they now enjoy in the House.– Sarah Palin
A related Twitter hash.
Just for the sake of argument, let me posit that John Boehner is NOT a sellout, a tool, a double agent, a doddering buffoon, a sad little throne-sniffer, a spineless sycophant, a Ruling Class meat puppet, and an obsequious piece of work.
Instead, let us assert that there is some sort of method to his madness, with some plan forthcoming:
When that fullness
waxeth timely, friend,
why, then, fancy
whispering the formulation?
Update: Belvedere rounds it up nicely, recalling a gag that I omitted from this post earlier. Let this be known as the “Day of the Short Teaspoons”.

Ah sweet, sweet poetry. I wonder if The Other McCain can find a political poet for daily poetry in exchange for web ads?

OK but only for a moment and for argument’s sake, then back to reality.

Stacy, thanks for referencing Sarah’s steadfastness. It’s refreshing.

They’re not wobbly. They’re complicit.

I would comment on this story but the ad displayed next to it for gay sex with the picture of two boy lovers is making me ill. Moving on.

There is a method to his madness. It’s trying to get his balls back from Obama.

Tea Party Republicans need to threaten to withhold their vote for Speaker from Boehner. If he wants to marginalize them, let him try to get along without them.
December 4th, 2012 @ 11:13 pm
Why threaten? I’ve never believed in giving up the element of surprise.

Here’s the fundamental problem as I see it. If the Republicans dig in their heels and refuse to raise the debt ceiling and extend tax cuts for only those under $250K, Obama walks away from the table, allows the whole thing to go over the cliff. Then he says something like: “If you are getting laid off this month, it’s the Republicans’ fault because they wanted to protect the rich people from tax increases”. The people blame the Republicans, we lose the House in 2014, and then it is hell on steroids in 2015 and 2016.
In other words, Obama has NO incentive to prevent the whole thing from going over the cliff because he can just blame the resulting economic wreckage on the Republicans.

This right here is EXACTLY what it is about. And Boehner gave Obama the skeleton outline of exactly what Krauthammer talks about here, raising of 850 billion of revenue without raising tax rates. Obama walked away from it.

This is why I keep saying the following: let No-Taxes Timmy’s Obama-approved plan be formally submitted to the House, have a vote, have every Republican vote ‘Present’, let it then go to the Senate, have every Republican vote ‘Present’. Then the Democrats own it all.

Yes, I do agree that “doomsday” plan seems to me like the best approach.
