Shocking: #FreeKate’s Father Conspires to Shut Down This Blog: ‘Media Blackout’

Steven Hunt, arrested for fraud, April 22, 2012
“Never tell a lie, nor take what is not your own, nor sue anybody for slander, assault and battery. Always settle them cases yourself.”
— Andrew Jackson, recalling his mother’s advice
Every decent, law-abiding citizen of Indian River County despises the Hunt family, a vile pack of trashy scum who have done everything possible to bring shame and dishonor upon their community.
And it has now come to my attention that several weeks ago, when the facts of the Kaitlyn Hunt case were just beginning to destroy the dishonest “Free Kate” myth her parents had created with their hateful lies, Steven Hunt conspired with one of their Facebook group administrators to “shut down” this blog:
So the admin “Amber” was attempting to suppress awareness of the site, SupportHonesty.net, which compiles the authentic facts about the Kaitlyn Hunt case. Amber identified me as “the biggest supporter” of SupportHonesty.net. Steven Hunt then called me a “DOUCHE,” and Amber said:
“Yeah well im trying to get his server kicked off
the internet and cause him to go in a media blackout.
thats if anon agrees with our opinion of him.”
In other words, Amber was soliciting members of the computer-hacking conspiracy “Anonymous” — which had originally rallied to the “Free Kate” banner — to help shut down my blog. Amber boasted of her influence within Anonymous. While those online anarchists are crazy, however, most of them are not stupid and, as the facts about Kaitlyn Hunt’s case emerged, support among the “Anons” quickly eroded.
You see the lawless tactics that Kaitlyn Hunt’s lawless supporters endorsed in their effort to suppress the truth. As the entire purpose of the “Free Kate” movement was to apply political pressure to Florida law enforcement — to smear the victim’s family and falsely accuse prosecutors of discriminatory intent — it is possible that these messages might be interpreted as part of a conspiracy to obstruct justice.
But I am just a journalist, not a lawyer.
“Brass-knuckles reputation management” usually fails, because the truth eventually is known, and if Steven Hunt has not researched the “Streisand Effect,” he should be advised that he has been dealing with its consequences for about three months now.
Honest people hate a liar, and when the liar displays himself as a bully who thinks he can intimidate people into silence . . .
Well, how’s that plan working out for ya so far, Steve?
Your criminal pervert daughter is now in jail, charged with a new felony, the evidence of which the judge called “overwhelming.” Kaitlyn’s lawyer seems to be having a nervous breakdown, and people who have long been silent are now speaking out.
As bad as that was, Booking #2012-00001721 has now been exposed as having sought to deprive me of my professional livelihood, and therefore the dreaded War Oath of Clan Cameron has been sworn.

Henceforth, you shall regret having forfeited my mercy. Selah.
UPDATE: Linked by Donald Douglas at American Power — thanks! Some may be surprised (and I’m sure that Steven Hunt will be shocked to learn) that I had hitherto been merciful. But when I learned of Hunt’s purposes to destroy my livelihood and deprive my wife and children of my support, all claim to mercy expired, which is the metaphorical meaning of the Gaelic oath: Steven Hunt, by intending to destroy me, has invited destruction upon himself, and if anyone would claim to be my friend, I implore their assistance in this crisis.
UPDATE II: The important thing to understand is that the “Free Kate” movement began as a campaign of hateful vengeance against the parents of the 14-year-old girl Kaitlyn Hunt molested. This is the only plausible reason why Kaitlyn’s mother, Kelley Hunt Smith named the victim’s parents nine times in her May 17 Facebook post, in order to demonize them and incite harassment against them.
This vindictive purpose was exposed again Wednesday, when Kaitlyn Hunt’s lawyer Julia Graves issued a statement accusing the victim’s family of abuse, knowing this would incite hatred by readers of such publications as South Florida Gay News:
Younger Girl in Kaitlyn Hunt
Case Had ‘Bible Thrown At Her’
The day after Kaitlyn Hunt, 19, had her bond revoked and sent to jail to await trial, her attorney, Julia Graves, released a statement that hit back hard against the prosecution making some outrageous claims.
In the statement she says the younger girl, known as C.S. has been “taken to a church that labels being gay a sin, has the Bible thrown at her, all of her thing[s] in her room boxed up and taken from her, is apparently hit by her parents, and clearly yelled at for lying by her father in the presence of Detective Shepherd at the school in a subsequent interview.” . . .
Again: The younger girl was 14, Kaitlyn was 18 and, even after Kaitlyn was arrested in February, she would not obey a court order to stay away from the minor, secretly arranging for continued “intimate contact” and sending the girl “lewd” photos and videos. Still, the lawyer that Steven Hunt hired to represent his criminal pervert daughter must earn her fee by blaming the younger girl’s parents.
It would be a sin to let people like the Hunts get away with this.
UPDATE III: Headline at the Lonely Conservative:
Father Of Pedophile Tries To Shut Down Critical Website
The word “pedophile” is tendentious, pejorative and inflammatory.
And also quite possibly accurate.
UPDATE IV: Welcome, Instapundit readers!
UPDATE V: In case anyone has forgotten, Steve Hunt lost his police job for trying to intimidate a crime victim.

UPDATE VII: Feminist and sex abuse survivor S.J. Reidhead:
There is no sentence strong enough for Kate Hunt to serve that will restore what she has destroyed. . . .
This is what Kate Hunt and her parents have done to her victim. She is literally ruined, inside her soul. The only way she will ever be able to piece together what she once was is through a higher power. I found peace through Christ.
Millstone, neck, some assembly required. Becca J. Lower also sees this as fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Here’s the latest news:

And that’s just my first post of the day. Pete Da Tech Guy says Steve Hunt made “a miscalculation of epic proportions.”
As usual, Pete is correct.

UPDATE IX: Regular Right Guy:

Honestly, my plan today had been to write about the Virginia governor’s race or Barrett Brown or Michael Hastings, but a certain fateful sentence in Gaelic has been invoked, so I can’t turn loose of the “Free Kate” denouement just yet. While I was engaged in serious work, however, a friend had a Twitter go-round with a bisexual “child-free” feminist atheist who presumed to lecture him:

‘The Powers That Be’: Lawful Authority, Honorable Service and a Cursed Traitor
Posted on | August 22, 2013 | 61 Comments
My soldier son and his mother at Fort Benning.
Our night-owl friend Ali — who lately has kept a Dracula-style sleep schedule — stayed up past dawn to report that a deeply confused fool is more deeply confused than anyone previously suspected.
Regular readers know my Army son is currently training in hope of joining the elite Special Forces. My hatred of the traitor Manning is therefore perhaps as personal as it is patriotic.
Have I ever said a nice word about President Obama? Is there any policy of the current administration that I support? I think readers know the answer to those questions, and yet I was stirred with pride that day at Fort Meade when I watched my son swear the oath to obey the orders of his Commander-in-Chief. Obedience is the first duty of a soldier, and obedience must be rooted in respect for lawful authority.
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”
— Romans 13:1 (KJV)
And let all God’s children say, Amen.
Contrast this sense of duty — the honor of obedient service — to the traitor Manning’s selfish and arrogant disrespect for authority:
Our nation has had similar dark moments for the virtues of democracy — the Trail of Tears, the Dred Scott decision, McCarthyism, and the Japanese-American internment camps — to mention a few. I am confident that many of the actions since 9/11 will one day be viewed in a similar light.
As the late Howard Zinn once said, “There is not a flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people.”
The traitor Manning’s citation of Zinn — a man infamous as a godless Commie — is characteristic: A generation that hates God is therefore disrespectful of all that is good and decent in this world. That such a traitor as Manning could have been trusted with our nation’s secrets is symptomatic of America’s descent into madness.
A mere private soldier who was then, as now, in the throes of severe mental illness, the traitor Manning nevertheless appointed himself a judge of the policy of his nation, arrogating to himself the authority to disobey his orders and breach his oath of service.
Attempting to make himself a hero in the eyes of his fellow fools — for no wise man could ever admire such a heinous a traitor — now Manning cites leftist history that he imagines will some day vindicate him.
Yet the traitor’s name shall always be cursed among men of honor. Every patriot must hate a lying coward who betrays his oath.
May God save the Republic, and may God bless America.

Shocking Claim: #FreeKate’s Mother Is ‘Cool Mom,’ in the Very Worst Way
Posted on | August 21, 2013 | 96 Comments
Kaitlyn Smith with her parents on NBC’s ‘Today’ show, May 23
The following anonymous comment, on a CBS story about the Kaitlyn Hunt case, was left by someone claiming to be an acquaintance:
The comment transcribed:
Sadly I blame her mother, Kelley. Someone I know personally.
Many years ago I knew something like this would happen with one of her daughters. Not to this extent, but something major.
She has always allowed her daughters to do as they please. I know for a fact that the 2nd oldest dated a 20 year old when she was only 14! The mother would allow these things. The girls [were allowed] to have boys over for parties, that would turn into a sleepover, where there would be drug and alcohol use. This was a few years ago, but the kids at that time ranged from 13-15.
They are just like their mother! Unfortunately, it is how they are being raised! This girl is now paying for the way she was raised, all because the mother did not teach right from wrong.
People can say all they want, think what they want. All of this boils down to not being raised properly. Never being told no, sex talk in front of these girls from the mother about her boyfriends. The mom has no filter!
Mom was more worried about getting out with friends and getting laid while these kids would sit home and babysit the younger ones just a few years ago.
Seriously sickens me! Who wants to hear about sex talk from your mom about her sex life. I remember MySpace days, Kelley was having her daughters take pictures of her in lingerie and Kelley would post them to MySpace!
I support Kate! I do not support her mother!
Normally, I wouldn’t quote something like this and, of course, I cannot verify any of the commenter’s specific allegations, all of which may be completely false for all I know, but . . .
But it is self-evident that nobody ever taught Kaitlyn Hunt “right from wrong,” or else she wouldn’t be in the Indian River County Jail.
Furthermore, from the first time I started writing about this story, feminist blogger (and sexual abuse survivor) S.J. Reidhead has been concerned that Kaitlyn Hunt’s behavior was that of someone who had been sexualized at an early age.
Kaitlyn was “acting out,” as the therapists say. Would this commenter’s tale tend to explain some of that “creepy” vibe that’s been emanating from the Hunt family since Day One of this story?
Again, I repeat, I have no way to know if any specific accusation in this anonymous commenter’s tale are true, but the general portrayal of Kelley Hunt Smith’s behavior as the “Cool Mom” when she was divorced, four or five years ago, would certainly be consistent with the anti-social hoodlum behavior of her daughters: “Beat her f–king ass, Emily! Beat her ass! Get that bitch!”
Where do you think girls like that come from, anyway? Violent, foul-mouthed, tattooed — who raises their daughters to be that way?
“She is known as a whore throughout the school . . .
my whole school knows she’s not a good person.”
That’s what one of her Sebastian River High School classmates said about Kaitlyn Hunt in May, complaining about the media portrayal of her as an “innocent” young girl. And then there was this message that Kaitlyn’s younger sister posted on Twitter:
Kelley to her daughter about how she “whooped her ass,” and Emily reacts: “Lmfao my moms f–king badass!!” As I said when I posted that screenshot in May: “Hunt family values, as it were.”
So, is this the kind of mother who would do the kinds of things the anonymous commenter alleges? And is the behavior of Kelley Hunt Smith’s daughters about what we might expect from someone raised that way? Reader may draw their own conclusions.
Kelley Hunt Smith named the parents of Kaitlyn’s victim nine times in her May 17 Facebook post, accusing them of “trying to ruin my daughters life . . . trying to send an innocent young girl to prison because they are full of hate and bigotry.”
No, Kelley, they didn’t “ruin” Kaitlyn’s life — you did.
And you should be ashamed of yourself for what you have done.
Congratulations On The Little Hammer!

Jailbait Kate: Her crazy supporters will do anything for her.
This CNN story about the Kaitlyn Hunt case doesn’t mention that the age of consent is 16 in Florida until the 13th paragraph:
Gay Florida teen Kaitlyn Hunt sent back
to jail over explicit texts, images
The headline conveys a misleading impression of the case, and although the article includes most of the relevant facts, it is clearly intended to generate sympathy for the criminal:
The court hearing Tuesday was graphic and, for Hunt, emotional. She held a tissue in her handcuffed hands that she repeatedly used to wipe tears from her eyes. The proceeding marked the latest turn in a story that first captured the nation’s attention months ago.
Hunt’s family says the relationship was consensual, with their lawyer claiming authorities wouldn’t have gone after her if it had involved a male and a female instead of two teenage girls.
Exactly why should we give a damn what this criminal pervert, her raunchy parents and their worthless lawyer say about the case?
Arguments made by the World’s Worst Lawyer™ Julia Graves in her statement today demonized the family of Kaitlyn Hunt’s victim:
“[The younger girl is] taken to a church that labels being gay a sin, has the Bible thrown at her, all of her thing in her room boxed up and taken from her, is apparently hit by her parents, and clearly yelled at for lying by her father in the presence of Detective Shepherd at the school in a subsequent interview.”
This has been the Hunt family’s strategy from Day One — blame the victim and her family. In her May 17 Facebook post, Kaitlyn’s mother Kelley Hunt Smith named the victim’s parents nine times and smeared them as being “full of hate and bigotry.” And the post by Kaitlyn’s lawyer, alleging abuse by the parents of the victim, seems to have been a signal for Kaitlyn’s supporters to attack:
Perhaps you thought it was rhetorical overkill when I called Kaitlyn’s supporters “amoral scum with no sense of shame,” but do you see the twisted worldview of these people? Do you see how they admire everything despicable and despise everything admirable?
The family that raises a tattoo-covered foul-mouthed hoodlum (“Beat her f–king ass, Emily! Beat her ass! Get that bitch!”) are a family that has love “in abundance.” No one can be judgmental toward the parents who let Kaitlyn bring a runaway 14-year-old to their house for a lesbian sex romp where they “put their fingers inside of each other’s vaginas, put their mouths on each other’s vaginas, and both of them used a vibrator on each other to insert it in each other’s vaginas.” That’s perfectly OK and it would be wrong to call such a family “creepy” or something.
No, there is nothing remotely suspicious about a father like Steven R. Hunt Jr. (Booking #2012-00001721) and everyone must praise a mother like Kelley Hunt Smith who sends text messages telling her daughter’s victim to “delete EVERYTHING.”
Instead, according to the “Free Kate” crowd, what needs to be investigated — the family that should be condemned for “abuse” and accused of having “zero good intentions” — are the parents who objected to their 14-year-old daughter getting dildoed by Steve and Kelley’s perverted criminal offspring. You know, the one who likes to send masturbation videos of herself to minors?
That’s the way people think, see, if they’re the kind of amoral scum with no sense of shame who support “Free Kate.”
Do I hate these scum too much? No.
It’s impossible to hate them as much as they deserve to be hated.
More #FreeKate Arguments: Want to Let Heather Wirth-Dalager Babysit Your Kids?
Posted on | August 21, 2013 | 143 Comments
Kaitlyn Hunt’s got a fever, and
jailbait poontang is the only cure!
That’s really the core of the “Free Kate” argument and, again, if you watched yesterday’s hearing where Kate’s bail was revoked, you understand this argument carries no weight in Florida courts. Kaitlyn Hunt is guilty and belongs in jail, and the fact that prosecutors were willing to offer her a plea deal — even after her violations of the no-contact order were discovered — ought to be understood as a humane effort to avoid a trial that would require that the underage victim be compelled to testify about their sordid and perverse relationship.
No sane or decent person ever supported the “Free Kate” movement, and only the most indecent and insane fanatics continue to support Kaitlyn Hunt now that her deviant criminality has been demonstrated by evidence that Judge Pegg called “overwhelming.”
“Free Kate” supporters are amoral scum with no sense of shame, nor do they have any respect for law or understanding of basic logic. Where only bad arguments are possible — because all the good arguments are for Kaitlyn Hunt’s conviction — one becomes accustomed to dishonest blame-shifting. Heather Wirth-Dalager:
This is a variation of an argument “Free Kate” supporters have made for the past three months: The problem is not that Kaitlyn Hunt broke the law; the problem is that somebody called the cops.
Really, it’s just Thug Logic: “Snitches get stitches.”
The argument from Heather Wirth-Dalager is a bit more nuanced than that, but boiled down to its essence, that’s it:
I am curious what the teacher who violated these teenage girls privacy by announcing this relationship to the younger girls parents, kicked Kate of the team, and facilitated Kate being expelled from school is thinking now? . . . .
(My guess: She’s probably thinking you need to improve your punctuation and syntax.)
Sounds like a strong discrimination suit against the school district and this teacher personally due to these girls sexual orientation!!
(That required two exclamation marks!!)
Regardless of this ludicrous law that doesn’t protect kids in this age group, punishing someone for that in and of itself is simply wrong. This isn’t just a case about same sex relationships, its discrimination and seems to hold some strong privacy violations as well, a doctor would be bound to privacy due to HIPPA Laws based on these girls ages, why does the school have the ability to release anything to the younger girls parents about Kate’s sexual orientation or about Kate at all? . . .
(Translation: “If a lesbian wants to play Spin the Dildo with your 14-year-old daughter, it is ‘discrimination’ and ‘privacy violations’ for anyone to tell you what’s going on, because ‘sexual orientation’ means that the law against having sex with 14-year-olds is ‘ludicrous.'” Does that argument make sense to you? If so, seek psychiatric help immediately.)
We need to remember these are CHILDREN even at 18 years old and still in high school, they do not carry the life experiences to understand ALL consequences of a relationship. . . .
(In case the double exclamation marks weren’t helping, now she’s going to CAPITALIZE random WORDS, and hope you don’t notice the inherent contradiction of her argument. Heather Wirth-Dalager thinks it’s OK for a 14-year-old to be having sex, and “ludicrous” that the law should forbid it. Yet at the same time, while she argues that minors deserve no legal protection against being sexually exploited by adults, she also argues that 18-year-olds are just children — CHILDREN — who are so naive they can’t be expected to understand consequences. Again, if her argument makes sense to you, seek psychiatric help immediately.)
These young girls will probably never trust an authority figure again in their lives and especially the younger girl who will have life long emotional damage from the actions of first the teacher/coach that they trusted, the school for punishing them for being individuals and their sexual orientation, her parents for trying to fore her out of a situation with someone she cared about, and then the law which is supposed to protect her and has grossly failed to do so.
Well, there you have it, eh? “Authentic frontier gibberish.”
Apparently, in Heather Wirth-Dalager’s demented mind, finger-sex in the school restroom toilet stall is just “being individuals.” Also, according to Heather Wirth-Dalager, running away from home to spend the night satisfying the lusts of a dildo-wielding pervert doesn’t cause nearly as much “emotional damage” for a 14-year-old as having her tattoo-covered lesbian partner get arrested for her crimes.
Because “sexual orientation” and “privacy,” you see.
Also, if you ever decide to record a video of yourself masturbating and want to send it to a 15-year-old girl, Heather Wirth-Dalager would be OK with that. You’re just “being individuals,” right?
